16bit? Are you sure? I thought my Win98 is 32bit, and I always
download 32bit versions of any software, if there is a choice. So far,
my box has never choked nor constipated on those. ;-)

But you're right, subst still works.

Sure  does!  On  Win9x.  It's  not needed on NT/2K because you can map
local  paths to drives letters without it. Win9x is still nothing more
than  an  MS-DOS  shell  with  a  16  bit operating kernel so it still
responds to most of the old MS-DOS tricks.

I see both sides of your argument, but the option to auto correct with
no assistance would be nice, in some situations. Thanks for explaining
it.

Yes but that is fine if you select one line you also select an column
if you hit ENTER you can edit that column. That's really nice. But the
selecting an de-selecting is not so nice.
