Outlook 98 was available for free download for a limited (though
fairly extensive) time period; it's also available free of charge on
CDs in some of the Microsoft Press books if you can still find one
floating around.

OL2K, to the best of my knowledge, hasn't ever been similarly
offered.

new S/MIME graphics ??

Hi all,

is it just me, or did the little icons for S/MIME messages (signed,
encrypted to the left of the preview pane) really change ??
they look very nice .. would be even nicer if they could be positioned on
the header-bar ... ;-)

Installing TB's MAPI DLL

2000-09-06 Thread Nick Andriash

I have done as suggested, and included the /InstallMAPI command line
parameter once. From what I could see, I lost my original mapi32.dll from
my Office 97 install which was 709 Kbs, to a new Mapi32.dll which is only
68 Kb.

Anyone know why there is such a big difference between the two? Is this in
anyway going to affect how MS Word operates? Is TB's implementation Full
MAPI or Extended MAPI... or perhaps some other flavour? ;o)

Could we get something about MAPI included in our FAQ?

ok, so here's another quick'n dirty.. have a look at the office97 cd
(maybe with windows commander) and search for a mapi32.dll - with
windows commander you can search through cabs..

ok, found it, use the one for your OS:

OK, I have run the switch and all seems OK. However, on right clicking
to "Reply" to your message TB! froze, something it has never done
before, and I had to use NT4's Task Manager to close TB! down. Trying a
reply again was successful Odd!

Thanks for the reply, Juergen, and to Jerry Cook too.

Default message list columns

2000-09-06 Thread Drunin

Hi All,

Sorry, if it was already discovered.

Default set of columns for account is set by selecting the account and
editing View::Message List Columns.., right?

It doesn't remember my modifications until I uncheck 'Use account
default column settings' in all account' folders :(

Another way is to add needed column to all such folders manually, then
it will also appear in the account default column list.
