Phew - I was beginning to think I'd cried wolf too early. ;-)

specific problem is then

well I'm not going to upgrade my NT4 to SP6 but on NT4 NLS PL with SP4
you can't even run TBb40 because you get dr Watson before
the bat splash screen with ..the bat on it

(NLS PL)=natonal launguage version = polish NT4 ;)

I have to retract this. I minimized maximized closed and reopened
seeing if I could confirm some of those other complaints, and now the
scroll bar below the account tree will go away. (strange)

2002-02-19 Thread Dierk Haasis

Hello TBBETA Members!

OK, seems someone had a bit of spare time, or why has the design of
the password dialogue for dial-up connections been changed?

And to add, to the worse. It is now completely out of proportion. It
was much better before with the buttons below the fields.

I have my folder tree wide enough to avoid this problem, but I notice
that no matter how wide I stretch it, it continues to have an
horizontal scroll bar (which is NOT proportional). The message list
horizontal scroll bar is also not proportional, although the message
window one is if I squeeze enough to create one.

I downloaded Beta 40 and I have no trouble with crashing on start-up
(using WinXP). One problem I have is that the "minimize" button does
not work. I can go from Normal window to Maximized window, but the
miminize to task bar does not work at all.

Several bugs persistent

2002-02-19 Thread Dierk Haasis

Hello TBBETA Members!

  1. The CC still calls itself "Dial-up ..." when first retrieving
  mail.

  2. The dial-up password dialogue still comes up for every account,
but is only visible for the first. If one cancels this TB! looks as
if frozen/crashed - one has to know that the second (third etc.)
dialogue is hidden and can be canceled by .

  3. Sometimes the CC will not connect to retrieve or send mail. I
can't reproduce it consistently since I don't know the
  circumstances.

  4. When clicking into the folder tree it still (sometimes) jumps to
the left leaving one with a lot of white space and just a number (of
  messages).

  5. The RTV still is a major memory hog on Win9x systems - less than
a minute, only three messages focused (after another) in preview
mode results in loss of more than 60 MB RAM. And I could only regain
19 of them by changing the viewer. Closing TB! immediately got me
  back another 57 MB.
