Not going to get drawn into that one because I never used VA and you
never used AMEOL either as you'd never heard of it!. It's now immaterial
as I use Dialog for News and TB! for mail and am 90% very happy with
both and am not the experimenting kind, well not as far as PCs are
concerned.

Hello Krister,

I had the same problem, but it only happens if TB! dials the
connection not if the connection is already dialed before TB! tries to
get the mails.

Why, in the transport/send mail euthentication and transport/receive mail 
authentication
all options related to token are
grayed  whereas SecureBat! pro with this same Ikey1000 token works
