Re: 3.81.16-18: Problem with Watch Reply Folders (chat folders)

2006-09-07 Thread MAU
Hello Martin,

Since .16 I have a problem with my Watch Reply Folders:

 1. When I try to make a message watched my old folders don't show up
in the menu Specials - Watch Replies in - ...

 2. When I restore them each time a new message is in the watched
thread a chat window pops up (that hasn't happened before).

Anyone using watched folders noticing this (MAU ?)

Sorry for my late reply. My left arm broken tendon needed surgery and I
was in hospital for a couple of days.

Yes, I fully confirm the problem (at least with the release version) and
that is why I have reverted to v3.80.06. I have also seen your message
in TBUDL. If you log a BT report, I will certainly support it.

 Maybe it's Alt Gr + Shift + T ?

Yes, that key combination also brings the Settings window up. But my
comment above also applies, not possible with a single hand at least on
a Spanish keyboard.

I cannot confirm. I added a note on BT.

Thank you for testing it. However, apart from the %subject macro,
which indeed does work with version 3.85.02 (I think it didn't wotk
with 3.85.01), the %ABTOHANDLE, %TONAME and %OTONAME - and possibly
other macros too - do not work. I attach an image showing the problem.

The text in the To header of the illustrated message is supposed to
show my full name, and in the body it should show my name as per
%ABTOHANDLE, %TONAME and %OTONAME macros.

OK, I think I found what is wrong and I can reproduce the error you've
described. If the focus is in a folder where you have defined
%CHARSET in a template then quick templates will be screwed.

For example, for TBBETA i have defined for the new email template that
%CHARSET=ISO-8859-1%. So if I try to post a new message the values from the
quick template are screwed. However for the REPLY template were I forgot to
define %CHARSET=ISO-8859-1% the quick templates work as expected with greek
letters.

I don't think that this is a bug unless quick templates supposed to have
greater priority than the default folder/address book templates.

  Sounds very sensible and logical.

For now, I've created just a bug report for the non-resizable window.

I will file a wishlist item for the editor support another day.

Maybe I'll find the time on the weekend to log a bug report.
