Thanks for the link. As I understand you must setup One 'Account'
where the field 'user' has the feed link (BTW - what PW are you
providing or can I leave it empty?).

Actually I would like to have the different feeds in 'One' account.
Can this be done? Also, could you please let us know how you organize
your RSS?

Thanks in advance.

Nah! I think it would be better to include an extra option in folder
Properties/Deletion. Something like:

No menu, just a wizard that can be opened for a folder.
I've a lot of wizard tools for many purposes and it's an easy way to handle
things.
Unexperienced users can use wizards, experienced can have their fun and play

Hi Miguel,

Yes I ment that one. I hadn't notice that error, because every time I see things
like%OHEADER( , %Language='%ABToCountry=""'%- and other filter- or macro
language, (or any other programming language), I get pimples.
That's why I simply rightclick on 'New' and then choose 'Folder', .etc. I
alway choose the above one, all other kind of folders I never used, never tried.

I do it similar when I want messages gets it's own folder. going to:
'Sorting Office
Filters' and make it as I want it, step-by-step. Maybe there's a faster way if
someone knows a lot about regexp, but not for me.

And it's the same with the macros. I avoid using them, unless someone posts a
ready-to-use template that I can add. Talking about these things..

Also ment for the RITLABS guys.
In fact I didn't dare asking it, but ok grabbing some courage. ;-)

IMO, and I experienced it already quite often, The Bat! is in these things too
difficult for many people. I would prefer a Wizard that can be started and asks
f.i.:
 - which Sender Information do you wish to be added:
 * Sender's full name
 * Sender's first name
 * Sender's last name
 * etc.
And that for all macro's that are included in TB.
You only have to click Y or N or place a checkmark and TB does the whole thing
 in the background.
That way no one is forced to use those terrible lists you see under
 Properties-Macros.

But I expect, such a wish will fall on deaf ears at RIT.

If you mean this link:

http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/tips_detail.php?ID=2294

I believe it has an error in the suggested filter. It uses %OHEADER("
which didn't work for me and that is why in my filter I use %OHEADER(
with only the parenthesis and no quotes.

Aside of that, it doesn't 'remind' that the %OHEADER macro requires that
the referenced header must have been previously defined in Options ->
Preferences -> Viewer/Editor -> Message Headers.

Sure - it was a faulty download and the MD5 above matches the MSI off
the website. I cannot understand how an incomplete MSI could even
begin the install. When I was coding I never used Windows Installer

The plug-in simply produces a message with some special header fields.
See below for an example. The macro system uses the header fields to
build a folder name, and that folder name is not 'folder properties

Default address book in using "Add to address book" ?

2009-01-14 Thread Roger Phillips
Hello All,

When the address book is called with "Add to address book" it always opens
with a certain book. It seems that the address books are listed
alphabetically and that by default it opens the first book in the list.

At the moment, in my case, it always opens the "Intermediate CA" address
book which I personally never want to use!

Is there any way to choose which is the preferred default book? If not,
then I would suggest it should open according to how the address book has
been previously closed.

Because I didn't understand the way to create folders in that documentation that
Volker gave a link to, I used the manual way.

And as I tried to make all subfolders by hand and there was a : (double dot) in
the
folder name, the folder couldn't be created I got the same message then.
Just tried to add a folder by hand with:
  ACDSee Forums: Forum: ACDSee
and that failed because of that double-dot.

Therefore I replaced each : in a - and then the foldername was accepted.

 So in short: Confirmed.

Hello all,

As you may have read in some of my recent posts, last night I downloaded
and installed a plugin for RSS Feeds (which works great, BTW).

It works in conjunction with an Incoming filter that moves messages to
different folders. For new subscriptions the filter creates the folders
based on the X-parent-outline-text: and X-outline-title: headers. A
couple of samples of created folders are:

  Portada // elmundo.es
ACDSee Forums: Forum: ACDSee Pro 2.5 - Recent Posts

The folders are created and work with no problems. They are shown
correctly in the folder tree (as you can see in attached PNG), messages
are routed correctly, I can assign view modes, etc.

However, if I access the folder Properties to change for example the
number of days to keep messages, when I click OK I get:

---
Edit Folder Properties - Portada // elmundo.es
---
A folder name must not contain non-printable characters,
", *, ?, /, \, : and trailing dots
---
Aceptar
---

and, obviously I can't make any changes.

I assume this is WAD and there is (or there was) a reason to not accept
these characters. But then, why are the 'illegal' characters accepted
when automatically creating the folders and why they don't cause any
problem when moving messages to them?

In case you are curious, this is the filter that creates the folders and
moves messages to them:

 TB! Message Filter
beginFilter
UID: [B7557D5A.01C975E4.4E7CE3AF.0F5B7472]
Name: All\20RSS
Filter: {\0D\0A\20`21\0D\0A}
MoveMessage AutoFolder folder
\5C\5CRSS\5CInbox\5C%OHEADER(X-parent-outline-text)\5C%OHEADER(X-outline-title)
IsActive
Ignore
endFilter

I don't know if this 'contradiction' can be considered a bug, or not.
But, meanwhile, can any of you think of a way I could use to set the
number of days to keep messages in this type of folders?

TIA

You're kidding, right? There's hundreds of virus-filters. This would be
a huge virtual folder filter, almost impossible to read or maintain and
would also mean that if I delete one of the virus virtual folders, I'd
have to update this one to once again catch new occurances.
