You have understood correctly. What you describe looks like a bug.
However, I cannot confirm it. Which TB! version are you using?

I'm using version 4.2.10.7

Question about exporting / importing message base

2009-09-02 Thread Martin Schoch
Hi TBBETA

I want to give up my desktop computer (XP SP2) and to run TheBat! in
the future only on my laptop (Vista SP1).

Would it be a good thing to run TheBat! on the laptop with or without
OTFE? The message base contains about 60'000 messages - 20 POP and 6
IMAP accounts.

Thanks for any hints.

 pop or imap?

It is related to POP3 and it happens in Common Folders - as far as i
know it does not happen in Account Folders.

MS Thanks for any hints.

I don't know anything about Vista. But my advice is to never use OTFE.
It is simply impossible to recover messages that where mysteriously
lost during during maintenance.

If you need encryption, use a software that encrypts your particition
or folder. This way, any *.bin file created by the maintenance center
can be recovered within that partition or folder.

I'll take a look at this. Have you tried to recover messages on a

GPG2 works, will test whether both 2.0.12 and 1.4.10 can be installed
next to each other as GPG says..

I have installed 2.0.12 and 1.4.10 next to each other without conflicts,
just like GPG says ;-)
But it is not possible for me to choose which version to use :-(
Is it possible to put both versions into the Choose OpenPGP Version menu?
Nice moment to put the most recent version of PGP there as well ;-)
