Yes you CAN do that - that's how I often read emails from friends that use
Outlook / Express / WIndows mail and include linked pictures. They don't show
in the Bat and I have to load each one in the browser

Yes it works but it is CUMBERSOME and needs to be streamlined a bit :)

I have to agree - I have to use Outlook Express for some of my sends because
the Bat just won't do the job.

They need to improve not only the viewing but the HTML editor also

Just a quick note from the other side of this.

I don't really have a problem. There is enough of the page rendered
that I can tell whether I want to look at it in detail. A quick couple
of clicks and I can see the message in all it's glory in FireFox.

FireFox already does a great job of rendering HTML. So it seems to me
that Rit Labs' time is better spent on their real business ... taking
care of email

You mentioned the "O" word. That's not nice. Unfortunately, it does
the job, while there are almost always some minor problems when
newsletters are displayed in TB!.

I agree, especially since there is no way to tell which URL in this
long list belongs to the message I am currently trying to watch in
full.

An easy way to show all images in the current email (something like Outlook
has, and NO i do not want to switch to Outlook...).

A normal HTML viewer. I dont want to send examples. Ritlabs should
install an Outlook and go over like a 1000 HTML mails. When TB matches
up to Outlook for all of them, then the job done. Not until that.

Hi,

>> BTW I do not know, what You think about HTML support, what are You missing

It would also help if you could set the display mode per folder
instead of once globally: For example, I have folders for certain
newsletters that I'd like to view as html by default. Everything else
I want to see as text-only, which is why the system setting is at
text-only. Consequentially, I have to switch the view mode every time
I want to read the newsletter, for every mail by its own.

I see. Thanks for the clarification. Seriously.

Hard to specify. But HTML in TB never looks nearly as good as it does
in other apps. And it always seems to be missing pieces of the
pages... links, graphics, or whatever. Maybe it's something in my
settings. But as I still prefer plain text, I never worried much
about it. Just something I notice when I am obliged to look at the
HTML that I receive.
