Re: 5.0.26.5

2011-10-18 Thread Zann
Dear Maxim,

MM What's new in 5.0.26.5 since 5.0.26.4:
MM [-] The Bat! had incorrect default font size ...

Is there a way to change the new default Segoe UI size 9 to something else? I
have Tahoma size 8 everywhere else in The Bat!, and have the rest of my system
configured to ignore Segoe UI entirely and substitute it with Tahoma in
registry as follows:

-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts]

Segoe UI (TrueType)=
Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)=
Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)=
Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)=

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes]

Segoe UI=Tahoma
-

but The Bat! seems to ignore this. The new Segoe UI size 9 also breaks
alignment and causes overlaps between text fields and other widgets all over
the Settings, Options, etc. in The Bat! now. Could you please look into this?

Thank you,
-Zann

Hello Marek,

The Bat! 5.0.26.5 (ALPHA) is available at
 http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/a-5/tb50265.rar

MM when switching folders, Message header Pane is blinking and displaying
MM first message is slower than switching messages directly in folder.

I see that, too. When switching folders the message pane seems to be
rebuilt every time from scratch instead of keeping the pane as is and
changing its contents.

On the right hand side of the pane where the buttons for
attachments and download manager are displayed, I observe that The Bat
looks like it is browsing through some of the icons that can be displayed there
very quickly. The icons are flickering and all in all switching folders
takes longer than in previous versions.

Best regards,
mse

MM Could you please sent the links to the IMAP bugs reported on BT, on which
we
MM should focus first, upon your opinion?

Currently my main issue is how slow things have become. When ever filters are
involved things slow to a crawl. In one IMAP account that receives lots of mail
that filters to other folders it can take 1-2 minutes to filter 20 messages. It
seems to look at one message, then test it against all possible filters, then
move it on the server, then move it on the local side, then go to the next
filter. This process then starts again, but each message takes 3-4 seconds to
accomplish this and there seems to be nothing else happening while this is
going
on in any of my other accounts while this is happening.

Also filtering is still inconsistent.

Happily I use server side filtering, so my main issue with slowliness
is a slow mailbox purging. Which I happen to use a lot because of this
bug: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=8660

However I could understand the need for local filters.
