IMAP - Sync Speed

2004-07-16 Thread Frank Dzicher
Hello The Bat! - Betalist,

playing around with TB's IMAP functionality connecting to a local IMAP
Server (MDaemon, Mercury/32) and - let me say - not satisfied with the
sync speed. It's o.k. with folders containing only a few messages (<200)
but it's painful with folders conatining a lot of messages (>2000). Just
cross tested with Mozillas Thunderbird and Becky. The developement of TB
regarding IMAP is not only a question of the IMAP functions - it's not
usable with the sync speed right now.

Quote reply - strange behaviour

while writing down my reply the text is wrapped correctly in the
editor window. I just wonder why it's unwrapped after sending it to
the group.

Long awaited - at last it works fine here. Thanks.

Can't figure out, what is meant with 'another way'.

What about the new[tm] toolbar in message edit window while using the windows editor.
Seems to me that this is the forerunner of HTML editing features but doesn't work at
all here (not that I'm awaiting this 'feature'[tm])

Already works fine here; although - you´ve to disable the message
preview. Just open the message itself.

Yes, my first message should be a PM. Just hit the wrong keys for
replying (I think an ape is better in this, once learned what keys have
to pressed prior getting the banana - but as u said - we are humans).

Can´t say if your descriped procedure is necessary in the earlier betas.
Just figured out that the announced drag and drop feature creates the
dropped message as an attachment.
