Hello TB-Beta List,

So I will go back to using TB as my primary mail client once the persistent
IMAP nuisances are cleared up, whenever that might be.

Easiest thing would be to filter your own outgoing messages to the

2008-03-08 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello Roger, hello tbbeta,

FW I just tried it, and everything works like expected. What about your
FW setting's in the preferences?
FW see attached image

I don't think you can have read the whole of the problem! I agree that
everything usually works perfectly, *until* there is only one message left
in the folder with the focus, then it does *not* trigger the 'Read' filter
when that message is marked as read.

I did. Meanwhile I was able to have the same behaviour here. Here it
only happend when the message is not only the latest in that folder,
but also the latest unread message into TheBat!.

Even if there is another unread message in a different account, TB
will filter and jump to that message.

Could you confirm?

Re: Spell checker

2008-02-02 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello Stefan, hello tbbeta,

The new spell checker functionality is not implemented in the
Windows Editor/HTML, so this may be the reason many people cannot use
it. The new MicroEd must be working now, so those who switched to WE
can try to switch back and start using the new functionality.

I use micro ed, and the spellchecker is def. not working. Maybe it
due to the problem, that I'm not able to select a language either.
Please have a look at the attached picture.

Re: URL in HTML email

2007-01-16 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello Stuart, hello tbbeta,

To make it easier to duplicate and maybe more of an issue to normal
use try the following. Open up a new email. Change to HTML. Type a
URL in the body, but make a mistake. Now double click the URL and
you will get an error page in the web browser. Now go back and
correct the URL and double click it again. It does not recognize the
change you made. IF you switch to microed and back it will work
again. If you don't and think it was changed and send it the link
   will not work.

Have you tried the following?

1. click on the URL
2. click on the Icon Add a hyperlink
3. Now you could edit the URL.

Take care, you're in HTML. What you see is what you might get. ;-)

Here the result for 3.62.12:

Account A is default for mailto URLs

 Action/Account ABC Ff
 Click: AAA A
 Write: AAA n/a

Account B is default for mailto URLs

 Action/Account ABC Ff
 Click: BBB B
 Write: BBB n/a

Account C is default for mailto URLs

 Action/Account ABC Ff
 Click: CCC C
 Write: CCC n/a

No Account is default for mailto URLs

TB always asked witch Account should be used and did use the right
settings.

I didn't test it with older Versions, cause I've had the same Problems
with mailto Links like Mark (mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED])

Re: 3.62.12: Wrong account used when clicking on email addresss in mesaage body

2005-11-05 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello Frank, hello tbbeta,

works here like expected. (I expect that TB should handle a click on
an e-mail address like a mailto Link)

 Here the result for 3.62.12:

Account A is default for mailto URLs

  Action/Account ABC Ff
  Click: AAA A
  Write: AAA n/a

Account B is default for mailto URLs

  Action/Account ABC Ff
  Click: BBB B
  Write: BBB n/a

Account C is default for mailto URLs

  Action/Account ABC Ff
  Click: CCC C
  Write: CCC n/a

I've to correct myself. There is one circumstance where TB did not
work, like I expect it.

If you setup a folder to use a different From address
(Folderproperties/Identity/From Address), TB will always use this
From address, regardless of the URLs handler Settings.

Is this behaviour Ok or not?

I found this in the headers:

Does anybody know what this FORGED_MUA_THEBAT_BOUN means?

Re: AV on setting folder Properties

2004-03-28 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello Peter, hello tbbeta,

M it's not only the user's changes in the folder properties that
M produce AVs. Sometimes it's enough to just open folder
M properties and click on the different tabs without changing anything
M and you get an AV after clicking OK as well (though not always).

Here, it happens without clicking on different tabs also.
After trying this on several folders, it only seems to happen the first
time when opening the folder properties and clicking OK.

Same here. :-(

Re: another new feature, with the old ones still unfixed !?

2003-12-16 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello MaXxX, hello tbbeta,

Everyone complains? Whatever, they must be stupid users anyway, they
don't understand how it was supposed to work,

There must be someone who should explain it!

e.g. the view-modes. As Dierk already wrotes, nearly everybody here has
problems to adjust and to Understand the View-modes.

Sometimes it seemed, that the betatesters do some kind of
reengineering, and due to this, we very often interpreted things
wrong, but how should we know the right way, if there is no
description?

It would be better, for all, when there is a new feature implemented
that there is not only something like:

[+] View Modes for message list

There should also be a short description how it work's. like
1. Parameter Name
2. Where could I find it,
3. What's the meaning of the parameter
4. How could it be adjust

If this would be done, the job of the engineer's and the betatesters
would be much easier.

Re: Defined Header field not being filled out as expected.

2003-12-16 Thread Frank Weidmann
Hello Allie, hello tbbeta,

If I define the header in the headers panel and set it to be shown,
then TB! should simply display the header contents as it does with the
 others that are already defined.

I think that's the point. If there is something not defined, how
should TB know what you want, and how TB should react?

 TB! generates an In-Reply-To header.

Yes.

Why the macro? In this context, the macro should only need to be used
to define a header value that hasn't been generated by TB! and which
you specifically wish to be added.

I just want to show you a way to display this header. But anyway, why
would you display it? IMO there is no need. (Just a question)

Hello Kevin, hello tbbeta,

In PGP 8.x the following appears when there is nothing in the PGP
 Options comment field:

 Version: PGP SDK 3.0.3
 Comment:

It would look better if no comment line appeared.

For sure, but I think, this is a PGP /feature/.

BTW
PGP 8.01, TheBat!'s buildin PGP Support

- In PGP I use the option always encrypted to default key.
- I have a private keyring with several of my Emailaddresses.
- If the Standart-Emailaddress of the Account that I'm using for
sending an Email, is not listed in my private keyring, the message
will not be encrypted to my default key, but will be encrypted anyway.
It doesn't matter if I'm currently using an emailaddress witch is
listed in the keyring or not.

Could anyone confirm
