double-byte editing is broken since 3.0.2.x?
i've reported bug but it doesn't seem to get any attention. hope some ritlab guys in this forum can see it. since 3.0.2.x (the first one i tried and confirmed this problem is 3.0.2.2), chinese editing is broken in windows editor mode: - now backspace can only delete a half of a chinese character (3.0.1.33 deletes the entire char, which is good) - now the line wrapping for chinese is wrong. 3.0.2.x wraps chinese as if it were english (wrap at spaces), however this doesn't work for chinese. 3.0.1.33 does the chinese wrap very well (wrap by characters). it seems that there is some significant changes in windows editor since 3.0.2.x which caused this significant change. is any ritlab guy aware of this? i tried 3.0.2.7 just now and it is still broken. fyi here is the bug i reported (id 3991): https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=3991 any attention is appreciated. -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is 3.0.2.7 Rush | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Re: Search in VF
You can do that with VFs, why not use one instead of search tool? That's exactly my point of the word decent. since this feature is already nicely implemented in VF, I would natually hope the same functionality (or even more powerful) to be done in search dialog. Otherwise it is very inconvinient to find a message. For example, in order to find a message with multiple conditions, i need to create a VF and set the conditions in the properties dialog; or leave a live VF as use for everyday search and keep modifying its properties every time i need. Both are not the right thing to do. -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Re: Search in VF
GS What is wrong with [EMAIL PROTECTED]class for Search for and select subject and sender GS for scope? Because I don't know it was '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' I only know his name was 'John Doe' and the subject contained 'class'. The other point is that if i type john class in text box and check subject and sender, it is not exactly what i want, the condition might be wider or narrower than what i expect, as the program might try to match john in subject and class in sender. This defeats the purpose of using multiple conditions: accurate search.
I agree with you the Search Tool can be improved but, since we have VFs now I assume it is not of high priority. I use a live VF for most of my searches now. alright, i agree it is a temporary solution so far. at least better than none :) BTW, can't you set Agent to wrap lines at 72 characters or so? It is not easy to read your messages. is it ok now? and this shows thebat's line wrapping needs to be improved :) -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Re: Search in VF
It isn't a bug, as the VF actually IS a search result. The normal search tool should be disabled for VFs. i think search in VF should be implemented (just my personal opinion), because otherwise thebat's search functionality on combined conditions are too weak. even today we still don't have a decent method to search mails whose sender is [EMAIL PROTECTED] and subject contains class. -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
default VF name template
there is a setting in options / pref / Default virtual folder name template. by default it is something like * %name *. but if i change it to something else, such as [%Name], it seems only common virtual folder is affected, VF under an account will still use the old/default naming patter, which is *%name*, no matter it is existing one or newly created. is this by design or a bug? if it is by design, then at least the text lable in pref dialog is misleading.

Confirmed. This happens most of the times, but not always. i kind of found some patterns though not 100% sure yet. let's say we have this: +- inbox | +- project | +- * customer * where inbox and project are real storage folders and *customer* is a VF that filters all msg in project with option sender contains @customer.com. now, if you manually dragdrop a mail (sender contains @customer.com) from inbox to project folder, the *customer* counter will NOT refresh automatically. however, if this movement is done by a filter (sorting office), it seems the counter is correctly refreshed automatically.
Re: Re[2]: Please create TB 2.10.02 with BayesIt 0.5.3!
Yes that's a better solution, though still not decent enough :) I like the old training box so much. it is slow, but allows me to click one button then go to do something else. when i come back, both trainings (negative and positive) are done. with search all solution, you at least need to do it twice, one for negative and one for positive. -- On Wed, 28 Apr 2004 23:09:20 +0200, NetVicious [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: mircoles, 28 abr 2004 at 07:41, it seems you wrote: Use the Search option, doesn't type anything on the search textbox and ... -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

i see i see... thanks! is there a way to specify one template for all non-common VFs, no matter which account they are under? -- On Thu, 29 Apr 2004 02:43:41 +0200, MAU [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Look in Account/Properties/General for VF name template. Re[2]: imap inbox msg counter?
Hello Clive, CT I think there's a bug. Stefan suggests purging/compressing to get the CT counters in sync but (on this machine) this only appears effective on CT one folder at a time I did try to clear cache. it worked correctly for a while, then the counter goes mad again... Re[4]: imap inbox msg counter?
Hello Stefan, ST How mad? :-) it doubles... and, if i only have msg1, msg2, msg3 and msg4 (all read) in inbox, when i click on inbox, it sometimes becomes: msg1 (unread) msg1 msg2 (unread) msg2 msg3 (unread) msg3 msg4 (unread) msg4 ... those duplicated unread msgs even bring up the ticker. if you goto another folder and back later, everything seems normal again, and ticker automatically disappears. Hello Jan, JO well, i am sorry, i just forgot about. if you're using the integrated thanks for your interest in this. why say sorry :) JO spam plugin (no matter which one), i would say it's completly up to the JO plugin to filter spam or not. possibly a plugin can access your internal how about this: add never treat mail as spam if the sender is in whitelist option in pref/spam plugin dialog. then, if this setting is on, thebat doesn't call plugin to process this msg at all.
