Still locked out the email Client. It is asking for a connection to serial number 92051A6a I have two accounts. When I type in the email account, they are not recognized. So, I am still locked out. Re: Summary view in The Bat
Hello Ethan, > Does anyone have experience in getting this view up and running. > When I follow the instructions in the Blog Post, I cannot get to > work with the current release copy. I hardly use this view except for RSS Subscriptions which seem to default to it. But it does work for normal mail folders if I resize TB's windows so that Message List is smaller that the % I have established. That is helpful. So the size of the message list is the key. I'll work on that. Thanks -- Best regards, Miguel A. Urech (El Escorial (Madrid) - Spain) Using The Bat! Unable to Get the Bat to correctly install
I ran into a problem where The Bat will start up, then it askes for a user name and password. I removed the program and tried a clean install. I get the same message asking for a username and password. Any advice on how to solve this problem. For now, I am stuck using another client until I get The Bat to operate correctly. Hello Jerry! On Monday, August 25, 2003 at 12:55:48 PM you wrote: Thanx. It works like a charm now again... I allways thought this compress is done when I close Bat at the end of the day... Well... It is, if you sat it that way. Just go to the Properties of your folders and check Compress folder. Also check your Account Properties under Mail Management/Advanced and check Compress empty folders automatically. So by compressing the folders it is not that I gained 150Kb (all my messages are few Gb), but everything is faster, I guess it makes new indexes or what... Re[2]: REQUEST: Iconify ThBat! with cloose (X)
I would be violently against that. Just move the cursor to the left to the minimize block. Why would you be againt it? Many programs that are meant to be used most of the time, offer such possibility, including competing product6 like Becky mail. I frequently close the program instead of iconifying it. I asked this question on The Bat! mailing list and many people agree this option would be welcomed. If you would not want this option, you would not have to use it. Multiple Account Bug??????
Hi I'm not sure if this is a recent bug, or if it's always been like it, and I've never noticed. Using The Bat 1.45b11 Under NT4 (SP6) - with multiple mail accounts. If I initiate The Bat by dragging a file to The Bat icon on the desktop (in order to send that file as an attachment), the message editor is displayed with the attached file correctly. But, the mail account that TB has selected to send the message is the default account, and not the active account. I'm sure the active account was used in the past? - Maybe I'm wrong. Certificates into the address book.
Hi Am I missing something here??? - probably. Without using a filter, how do I import peoples public certificates into the certificates section of my address book? Should the 'import key' option (when right clicking on the yellow 'valid signature icon) import the certificate into the address book? Maybe this part is not yet implemented - or maybe I'm missing the point totally. Hotkeys
Hi I like the Hotkeys feature, but have noticed a couple of bugs: 1. The 'Check mail for all' feature appears to perform the 'Send queued mail from all' function (and vice versa). 2. If a hotkey has been set up (eg. Ctrl Alt C), and then subsequently removed, the key combination appears to be unavailable (as if the system still has it marked as in use). Hotkeys
Hi all Sorry - the second bug I mentioned earlier is not really a bug. Any changes/deletions to the hotkey setup obviously need to be OK'ed before they are recognised. My fault - sorry. Text Attachments
Hello Listers I have a problem reading .txt attachments using TB 1.42/b5. When I receive an email with a .txt attachment TB appears to recognise that an attachment is present (The little attachment indicator is shown in the message list), but there is no file icon displayed to enable me to open/save the file. Other file types appear to attach OK. I noticed a thread earlier relating to *sending* txt attachments. Sending appears to be OK - I can send an attachment from TB to another mail client, but TB cannot *receive* them. Anyone else notice this since upgrading their message base.
