I've just posted that I was mistaken. I ran my test without sending
the message--just viewed it in Outbox/Preview Pane.

This bug is still with us. I've just now added a couple of notes to
Peter Meyns's bug report, https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=3703

ZW> Yes, but I see this as plain PGP with all PGP headers displayed in

Confirmed.

ZW> Please also notice that small yellow icon displayed on message
ZW> list for encrypted/signed messages is gone in .17 version.

I see it in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

But not in your post, to which I am replying. Instead, a
double-envelope icon. I clicked on that and got an error message:

"found detached sig, no call-back"

Strange goings on. Definitely a bug. Thanks for writing.

Yes, but I see this as plain PGP with all PGP headers displayed in message
preview. Message body does not contain any declaration of Content-Type,
like multipart/signed; protocol="application/pgp-signature";

Please also notice that small yellow icon displayed on message list for
encrypted/signed messages is gone in .17 version.

I don't see it with your message. What I see is an inline signature.
Like you will see with this message.

It is on bugtraq: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=3703

PGP/MIME signature bug in Auto setting [was Re: .17 memory and PGP/MIME]

Totally agree. And that's why the bug which appeared in beta v. .16 is
a pain.

Also, I see by your signature here that the bug is still present in v.
17.

My Outbox experiments to determine whether it was fixed led me
to a prematurely happy conclusion. :(

TB! is still putting:

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

at the beginning of PGP/MIME signatures, and that should not be.

Thank you so very much for the reply which establishes this.

Bug is still there.
