I'm the spanish translator and I see the 100% of the strings
translated by me, so as I said weeks ago it should be a German
translator issue.

No I cannot confirm.

Here, it still behaves as I described in the Bugtraq. I cannot test with
another account because I have only one. It will move to another folder
containing an unread message but the last message in the previous folder
remains where it is, marked as 'read' but not moved to an archive as the
'Read' filter would do *if* it had been triggered correctly.

Marking the last message in a folder as read, by some method other than the
space-bar short-cut, results in the 'Read' filter acting correctly.

Thanks for your interest and testing. Please just check everything again to
see if the behaviour at your end really is different from my end.

I did. Meanwhile I was able to have the same behaviour here. Here it
only happend when the message is not only the latest in that folder,
but also the latest unread message into TheBat!.

Even if there is another unread message in a different account, TB

I don't think you can have read the whole of the problem! I agree that
everything usually works perfectly, *until* there is only one message left
in the folder with the focus, then it does *not* trigger the 'Read' filter

That's why i am very closemouthed the last time and only report the
very important bugs. I also feel like only the List-Members answer and
discuss the problems, but there is no feedback from Ritlabs. They
additionally do not listen to us, nor give feedback like "i heared it".
Nor do they publish enough details, what is new in versions, what is
going on right now, what is WIP right now, what should be tested or
keep an eye on (more to recount)

> Maybe we should just make new and new BT reports with this... After
> like 100 BT reports about this issue somebody would listen. :)

I don't like to constrain other people to do what i want them to do -
if they don't want, i leave them alone.

The result of this is a lot of work for me - poorly, because i have
lots of customers, which i recommended to use The Bat! and which i then
have to switch to another application i would myself support in future.

I am still shaking my head, unable to belive and not willing to part,
but that of course only a matter of time - if there is no change in
this situation...

I cannot confirm that (I have Win XP SP2). I usually do NOT have TB
start when windows starts, but I did this time, and I had it start in
the system tray (only). I clicked on that icon, and TB immediately
jumped to life in a mid-sized window. I have TB Home, 4.0.16.1

When TheBat is running during installation the installer shows a

I have reported this on TBBETA for a couple of MSI builds (4.0.0.22,

Certainly, and as you say, it is not a biggy. But as I only noticed
today, I was wondering if it was a problem local to me.

NB: *Removes*!!! I manually edit the registry settings to re-instate

It was there with the first v4. I use Full window mode, it is more
apparent there. I thought it is not a biggy. Guys at Ritlabs should
maybe set the Visible property of the container to False until
the alignment is done, and set True after that.

4.0.16.1: "Dancing" text when using PTV and changing folders

2008-03-07 Thread MAU
Hello all,

I just noticed this today but, as I have verified, it is not new to
4.0.16.1, it also happens with 4.0.14.11. However, not with 3.99.29.

I normally don't use PTV but, for some reason, I had left 'Use Plain Text
Viewer' selected for the preview pane and, when changing folders, I
noticed what I have called 'dancing text'. To see what I mean:

http://www.rancho-k.com/TB/Dancing_text.avi

It looks like only quoted text is the one that likes dancing, and it
seems that only when changing folders and not just when selecting a
different message in the same folder.

Any confirmations?

Confirmed here as well. The following keys require the full path to
TB program in order to work:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\The Bat!\ and it's subkeys.

HKCR\The Bat! mailto\ and it's subkeys.

HKCR\The Bat! message file\ and it's subkeys.

HKCR\The Bat! vCard file\ and it's subkeys.

Access Violations with 4.0.16.1

2008-03-07 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
After installing 4.0.16.1 I had 2 Access Violation messages. One for Address
9b9b30 and other for B74B53.

I frequently had similar messages with Beta Versions of The Bat but ONLY
immediately after a fresh installation of a new version of TheBat.exe.
Following reboot all is then OK. I suspect this may be a memory management
funny relating to residual processes still in memory.
