That is correct. In order to send the message I had to down grade.
My machine was crashing under 3.5.xx. The most stable version I had
was 3.5.0. However, memory leaks were creating some real problems.

I download and install the most recent one as indicated Max this
morning. Once installed, the problems just kept continuing.

I'm glad to hear that. It was not my experience.

Same problem when I ran it.

That is the version that really caused consistent problems.

As I explained before, I've down graded in order to continue work.
I'm waiting for the fix.

That is helpful. I'll look for it today.

Talking of typo's no one noticed or commented on this:

My biggest typo I keep making is hitting ; instead of ' I've even thought
about remapping my keyboard because of it.

Aaargh! Tony's spelling typos are contagious!

Should have written "you're" (the contraction for "you are") and not
"your" (the possessive, as in "your place or mine?") :woe:

By "most recent" what version do you mean? By clicking on
Properties/Version for "thebat.exe" in my TB! directory, I see that I
am running version 3.5.0.10.

It is AV free for me, except for a random, disappearing upon "OK"
click, AV when clicking the transfer button in the Mail Dispatcher.

3.5.0.14 was unusable for me because it would not open messages in the
Message List--instead produced cascading AVs and closed.

I haven't had the courage to get 3.5.0.16, which is a rar and I don't
think it is an official public release, more like testing a
post-release-fix before making it publicly available.

Again, could you look in Properties (from a right-click on
'thebat.exe' in your TB! directory), and see the exact number of the
version your discussing as "an official release" and tell us what you
are using now?

> Will a fix be posted to correct the problems in the official release?

Stefan and Maxim have said that it will. Stefan has posted that the
fix for the F4 Reply problem (and I presume other fixes, also) is a
work in progress.

Chronic AV Problems

2005-05-25 Thread Ethan J. Mings

So far this morning, I've had ongoing AV problems when I use The Bat
to send attachments, to respond to messages using F4 and the just
general shut down problems. I've tried the most resent official
release and still problems.

Concerned. This is the first time I can remember using an official
release that is so problematic.

Will a fix be posted to correct the problems in the official release?
