Gnus, although it's not exactly the same.

Of course i agree and i´m sure that for the same price for the windows version TB!
could be sold. In the Linux world (as also in the windows world) there is NO E-Mail
client which has nearly the same features.

Well, I use (paid version of) Xandros myself, but I don't have the
faintest idea about how much people do use commercial linux software.

So, it's not that I would not like a Linux-version, only: it must be
profitable for the developers.

I've heard some people recommend "Sylpheed (Clawz)". There's also a Windows

That might be right - but if Ritlabs has only a small percentage of marketing sense -
then they should give the Linux Community a shot and will probably be very surprised
in how much support they will find.

I don´t use Linux to have a Windows emulator runing on it to use a windows program...
we all know that Linux is a safer (and probably a better) system than Windows. I for
one use Linux soley for surfing and hate having to jump to a Windows system to use TB!
to read my emails.

They won't because we've been asking for it for years. Even though TB runs
OK'ish under Wine or COO it would be nice to have a dedicated nix version.

Yes, it's called The Bat! and it runs perfectly acceptably under Wine or
