It is not actually a problem deleting, but after you delete and then
purge and compress, because you have deleted one of the copies the
message gets deleted from the server.

Ok. :) With our reliable Hungarian IMAP servers this duplication never
happened :)))

If you are lucky, it will work 1st try.

Re your other question, for the brief time I had any duplicate
problems, killing duplicates never deleted any messages, but manually
deleting messages was kind of hit or miss as I recall.

I will see what I can do. There are 9 copies of your message plus the
original. I am only going to try it once though. :)

Stuart: could you generate me up a new IMAP fastmail account, set it in
your TB, reproduce the problem with it, and backup the account and
send as attach in private?

It is not strictly a test account, as I have some personal info stored
in here. For the most part this account is a free fastmail account and
could be duplicated easily by signing up for an account and then using
the new e-mail address to subscribe to tbbeta and tbudl. I would then
be happy to set up your account the same as mine. I would love to
solve this. By the way, I do not seem to have any TBK files here.

And yes this is strictly an IMAP issue. I am changing the subject line
here and I hope it is done correctly.
