Re: Problem with "Purge+Compact" - ¡corrected version!
Hello Joerg, > ¡Hola Mau! > OK, I will try to help you. > First things first: I don't have this problem here. Thank you for trying to help, but don't have this problem either. That I can recall, it just occurred once in my 20 year of using TB, if I recall correctly. > Pleas read and try to understand all what I write here! > I guess your problem maybe also a problem with > A.) your mail server > B.) some settings in The Bat > C.) the mail database of this special folder Again thank you for taking the time to consider the different cases, and providing the steps to correct. But, as I have already said, this problem has occurred only once, and I believe it was just due to an error with the temp file used while purging the folder. Again thanks for all your efforts. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Urech (Zarzalejo (Madrid) - Spain) Using The Bat! Are we speaking about a POP3 account or IMAP? If IMAP this maybe a kind of a "cache problem". So please click with the right mouse button on the folder you want to clean (INBOX) to get the context menu and than choose in the contextual menu: Properties -> IMAP specific (on the left side) and hit the button "Clear cache now" on the right side of the dialog. Then try again what you did before. Maybe you can report the result here if you like otherwise please file a bug in the bug tracker and give us here the link. Problem with "Purge+Compact"
Hello all, I have my TBBeta folder marked to "Keep messages in the base for 90 days". I saw that I had a few messages from the first few days of last December and decide to use the menu entry "Purge+Compact". I got an error message (did not copy it) because some temp file was already in use, but the operation apparently completad. But, after completing, I found some 35 unread messages with dates as old as Feb 2002 (my subscription to TBbeta and Welcome message). Where they did come from? Go figure! -- Best regards, Miguel A.
