PM for testing I disabled No automatical dial for periodical checking.
PM Now TB! connects and checks on startup as it should...

YT Bingo!!! Works fine now, although I haven't let it run long enough
YT for a periodic check. But it sends FETCH after dialing my ISP now.

YT I can't make logical sense out of that check box text. Can you? It
YT is with regard to 'periodical checking', yet it obviously influences
YT the behavior of initial dial up and checking.

Hi Yuki,

I guess checking on startup is regarded as periodical checking too. *S*

YT Sure appreciate the note on this, however.

You're welcome! :-)

YT there is no check on startup. Instead checking begins 1 period after
YT startup.

Hi Yuki,

my settings are the same as yours.

If my online connection already exists when I start TB!, it checks on
startup. If there is no connection, it doesn't even try. When I connect
later, TB! doesn't start checking mail immediately, but eventually will
start its periodical checking. Of course, alt+F2 will always make TB!
connect and check. I don't see a bug here.
