AFAIK, no. At least, not in RFCs;-) And neither is it a common convention...

AFAIK no.

That's  because his mailer using thread by subject (the easy one), if he
tried by message-ID, no problem.

In the template you use for that list, you need to put the macro
%SINGLERE.

This will get rid of the Re[x]: and make it just Re:
