not confirmed here. I've been coming from v 3.0.9.13 - maybe an

Try renaming the tbuser.def file. It will correct your problem, but
you will lose all your customizations.

The important thing is that the final version of this beta cycle will run
without flaws if you're coming from the last release version, that is
3.0.1.33 (I can't remember who said that a couple of days ago but it makes
perfect sense) - and everything that was in-between, was, well, early beta
so far.

Hi graham,

you let us know -at least in parts- :

I did some searches, typed some words in fields -even closing/aborting a
running search now works for me. In earlier versions I had to close TB
by task manager to abort a search.
But now the search works like a charm for me.

You're not the only one, same AVs over here. IIRC there was a message
that the number of AVs depends on placing of the toolbars (one, two, or three
lines).

> As no-one else seems to be finding this - so I guess the problem

The above mentioned dependency makes perfect sense for me that there
is at least one bug left in the new UI which cries to get eliminated
at last :-)

I don't know - at least not from RIT IIRC. There was mail some time
ago where different files between TB!2 and TB!3 were listed, as I'm
not at home right now I can't dig my message base for this one.

I'd like to know if the newly introduced .def files may now be purged
as v.17 now comes without those (embedded in the exe file in the
meantime?) except tbuser.def that is.

Maybe you could download the current V3 msi installer from RIT's
website, have a fresh install (after a complete backup of course) and
then apply beta 17 again?

I'm experiencing the same. Had a hard disk problem yesterday. Did a
total reinstall of WIN on up, including The Bat . . . and still
have the 2 AVs! Hard to imagine the same configuration problems
   would re-occur.
