Please advise whether this was an IMAP server or POP server.

It still doesn't update for me. (e.g. in Inbox, incoming message
doesn't make it bold and increments the counter, only when it's in

If it's the error I encountered, it was an IMAP server.

IMAP. This was mentioned in the original 'bug' posting on the release
of beta 1 when I pointed out that in IMAP folders, the message ticker
wasn't updated on new mail. I guess I could have made it clear,
however Stefan's posting implied that it was IMAP related.

Is one of these quirks, an inability to delete emails randomly? I can
no-longer mass delete a bunch of emails, it produces an access
violation (IMAP Account). Then when I get that access violation, I can
no longer fetch/read other emails that aren't cached, I have to
physically close TB. And then sometimes I cannot close TB after
attempting to delete emails, as it then produces further access
violations, and won't let me exit. The only way I can then quit is to
End Task TB.

For further evidence:

  http://thebat.netdork.net/imap_ticker_update_fail.jpg

I only just opened the ticker virtual folder. I've also taken a quick
shot of the folder properties. As a point, selecting a folder
repopulates the ticker virtual folder.

Now something I think I may have managed to pin it down to. Is TB
updating the ticker based on messages it detects as new since opening,
instead of when detecting an \Unseen message each time? If this is the
case, I think I worked out the issue. I opened beta 1, it flagged all
the folders with mail, I closed it and downloaded beta 2, updated,
then opened. The folders were still marked with new messages, but the
ticker didn't update. Selecting the folder updated the ticker just
fine.

Sorry, I don't understand. Are you saying it /should/ be fixed, in
which case I heartily agree but that doesn't answer the question. Or
are you saying that it /will/ be fixed?

I need to know 'cos the lack of this functionality is what's keeping

I am assuming that there will be some consideration for recent
registrants. I registered in February because IMAP was being
implemented in version 2.0. IMAP was crucial to me in the long run and
the rumor mill indicated that 2.0 was in internal beta testing.
Unfortunately, at the time, I did not consider that 2.0 may not be a
free upgrade.

I hope that we will be accommodated.

I do wish that beta two did not require a new key. That means that we
will need the new key to test beta 2 without being stopped at the splash screen.
