No, it is right there, and, as I said, it works well after starting it manually or via PowerPro. So, not a big issue. I'd just have liked to have it starting automatically, as it does on my PC. > Colleagues, please, this is TB Development list, not MyGate buglist ;) My apologies, but I'm sure you wouldn't have read it on TBOT... ;-) -- Cheers Peter The Bat! v3.5.0.31 :beta: on Win2K, SP4, 5, 0, build 2195, Dell Latitude C600 P3 at 1002 MHz, 512 MB RAM ' http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
MyGate starting problem
Hi all, I set up MyGate with The Bat! on my notebook as I did on my PC. There it starts automatically and works as it should. But here it is shown OK in TB!'s plugin section, but it doesn't start automatically. I built a workaround with PowerPro to have it started with The Bat!, and it works properly after that, but I keep wondering why it won't start from the plugin. Win2K on both machines. Any ideas? -- Cheers Peter The Bat! v3.5.0.31 :beta: on Win2K, SP4, 5, 0, build 2195, Dell Latitude C600 P3 at 1002 MHz, 512 MB RAM http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

That's too bad, but you did a lot of good work before. So I'd be happy, just to use MyGate as it is, because it works pretty well. :-) -- Cheers Peter ' http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

MyGate: window size does not stick
Hi all, I have moved from my good old, but very slow computer with Win98 to a faster machine running Win2K. The transition went very well including MyGate and its settings, except one: on every new start, MyGate occupies the whole screen. Here is the registry key: ,- [ mygate_bad.reg ] | Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 | | [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MyGate] | @="C:\\Programme\\MyGate" | "Left"=dword:fffc | "Top"=dword:fffc | "Width"=dword:0408 | "Height"=dword:0308 | "CreateLogs"=dword: | "MinimizeOnX"=dword:0001 | `- I can resize the window with the mouse, achieving this new registry entry: ,- [ mygate_fine.reg ] | Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 | | [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MyGate] | @="C:\\Programme\\MyGate" | "Left"=dword:007e | "Top"=dword:003c | "Width"=dword:0125 | "Height"=dword:00e4 | "CreateLogs"=dword: | "MinimizeOnX"=dword:0001 | `- How do I make this stick? I'm not quite sure if this is related to MyGate. It is possibly some simple setting that I just didn't yet find in Win2K or in X-setup. Any ideas, except for running a batch file on each start to copy the /good/ registry key? ;-) TIA :-) -- Cheers Peter The Bat! v2.12 RC/4, on Win2K, 5, 0, build 2195, AMD Athlon 2200+ at 1800MHz, 512 MB RAM pgpYBpGkeyil6.pgp Description: PGP signature http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

MyGate, anonymous login
Hi all, I have been using MyGate successfully for a while with a server that requires a login. Now I want to use another server that requires "anonymous" login, i.e., no login is required. I can download the server's list of newsgroups with MyGate's login fields kept blank, but I can't download messages with The Bat!. The lowest way of authentication I can find is "regular", but in this case I'd need "none". Is there any workaround? -- Cheers Peter No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway. http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
