Re: Automating Mail Backup

2002-10-29 Thread Miguel A. Urech
Hi Robert,

I have seen that TB has a few command line parameters but there is
nothing that it has for controlling system backups. I am trying to
find a way I can update my .tbk file in an automated process without
me having to manually do it. Any suggestions on how I might do this?
Or am I stuck doing it by hand.

Try Second Copy 2000 (www.centered.com). Simple, efficient and
reliable. I use it every night to back up all my important stuff, not
just email.

You have to do it by hand or choose another method for backing up.

I personally run a batch process with the system scheduler on a
daily basis. This backs up the registry key, my mail and my
installation folders. WinRAR offers CLI support so I compress the
backups as well as a part of the batch process.

02-10-29, I saw:

Can you possibly let me know what it's called and where I can find it in
 the registry.

 You can use BatConSave:
 http://thebat.pl/files/bcs05RC.zip
it has Polish UI, but you can run it with default parameters. No problem.
