need macro

2002-04-30 Thread Brano

Hi all,

I need macro for this, I think it is quite useful for us all.
When I reply to message, I use this style:

ororiginal message text
ororiginal message text2
my reply

ororiginal message text3
ororiginal message text4
my reply 2

and so on. I know, it should be like this:

ororiginal message text
ororiginal message text2

my reply

ororiginal message text3
ororiginal message text4

my reply 2

So I need macro which put 1 enter before my first line of reply after
quoted original message. I think it is possible, but don't know how :)

thanks :)

Forgive me for being glib here, but there is no macro or quick
template or any other thing that will be as quick and easy as pressing
Enter one more time... :-/

Macros are only automatically triggered in generating the basic reply
format. Once you are into editing the reply, the only ways to invoke a
macro is 1) though the right click or utilities menus or 2) by using
(macro handle) Ctrl-Space. Neither of these methods are as quick
as simply pressing Enter.

and what about macro for filtering aoutgoing mail ? I think this way
is possible...and maybe not.

also I think, BAT developers should add another possibility for run
macros:
SELECT text in EDIT window, and macro will be executed only for that
selected text. (no need to get it into clipboard, etc)

Not. Macros are only used in templates. Templates are only used during
message creation, not filtering per-se.

An interesting suggestion.. one worthy of debate I think. My own
opinion is that it wouldn't make much difference to me.

It might need a %SELECTED and %OSELECTED macro (selected in the
editor/selected in the original message text) to be fully useful.

I don't know. It could always go into the Wish List traq database.

what about exporting that message with some template (where regex are
used) through filter and importing it back ? that could work :)
Problem is importing it back...ok :)

Not just... we're talking about a filter on an outgoing message. That
is only applied when moving the *already sent* message from the Outbox
to the Sent folder. It's already too late.

This looks like a Remove PGP signatures macro. Here's a generic
quotes macro that I use. It removes all common prefixes and
delimiters:

%quotes='%SETPATTREGEXP=(?is)((\s*)?%-
\n?-BEGIN PGP SIGNED.*?\n%-
(Hash:.*?\n)?\s*)?(.*?)%-
(\n(%-
_{40,}\s*\n|%-
(-\s)?--\s?\n|%-
- -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE.*\s?\n|%-
- -+Original Message-+\n|%-
\n-+ Yahoo Groups.*~--\)|%-
\n+Get your FREE download|%-
\z)%REGEXPBLINDMATCH=%text%SUBPATT=4'

This one has been slightly suped up from the one on the FAQ essay on
macros (or is it in the templates essay?).

long regex template posted here to create ROT13 encoded messages. :-)

Here's the most easy version:

%TEMPLATE=%SETPATTREGEXP='Tue, 19 Mar 2002 00:43:19 PM \(or AM\)'

This way you'll have created a 'TEMPLATE' and used a 'RegExp' inside :-)

But I can't find any use for this :-)

So maybe you'd better try to explain to us:

- What is the goal of this template?
- WHAT exactly you want to match with the RegExp? A date in the given
  syntax?
- What is the expected output after a match is found?
