bat commandline /mail

2002-07-16 Thread Brano

Hi all,

I have small problem, when I write:
thebat.exe /MAILU=2ge;TO=[EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED];S=test

I get _bad_ TO: name, look:

Date: Tue, 16 Jul 2002 14:19:15 +0200
From: Brano [EMAIL PROTECTED]
X-Mailer: The Bat! (v1.61)
Reply-To: 2ge [EMAIL PROTECTED]
X-Priority: 3 (Normal)
Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
To: 2ge @ 2ge . sk [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: test
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
===

To: 2ge @ 2ge . sk [EMAIL PROTECTED]
should be:
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]

any workaround for this behavior ?

thanks...

No. This behavior is not restricted to the command line. The e-Mail
address name is an e-Mail address syntax ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and could
confuse the MTA. So the `name' has to be split up.

You can repeat this by copying '[EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]' into your
clipboard and paste it into a new mail To: line.

 No.

Sorry i was to fast! _Yes_ there is... Put the name into double
quotes. [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]

But in the command line there is AFAIK no possibility neither a
workaround.

cmdline TO:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'

but nothing works. Anyone could help on this ?
