It means that a sub-folder of the folder with the red checkmark contains
unread messages. The number immediately to the right on the check marked
folder gives the number of unread messages in the folder. The number in
parentheses, to the right, gives the number of unread messages in the
sub-folder/s. Going further to the right, the next number is the total
number of messages in the checked folder, and the last number in
parentheses, gives the total number of messages in the sub-folder/s.

The Red Checkmark?

2000-09-07 Thread Arnie

Hi all,

What does the red checkmark next to a folder indicate? I've noticed
once on my machine and once on a client's. In my case it's because I
created on manual filter and forgot to assign it a hot-key. In my
client's case all manual filters have hot-key combinations.

In addition two numbers appear next to the folder in parentheses.

What could it be?

Thanks in advance.

Arnie

Wish. BTW, key needs to be identified by KeyID. ;)

Favorites

2000-09-07 Thread Jack LaRosa

Hello Bats!,

I recently "upgraded" my OS from Win95 to Win98 and after having done
so I noticed the "favorites" down-arrow (next to the CREATE A NEW
MESSAGE button) no longer produced a drop-down list of favorite
addresses as it used to. I asked the list about this at that time and
no one had any ideas. Since then I have had to un-install Win98
because of some other problems caused by poor machine preparation on
my part. After Win98 was un-installed, I found that my favorites arrow
worked just as it used to, producing a drop-down list of all those
addresses that were checked as favorites.

Now, having properly prepared the machine, I re-installed Win98 and
once again, the favorites arrow no longer works. If I click on the
arrow, the arrow is depressed and remains so until I click on it
again. At no time will the list of favorites drop down. Checking,
un-checking and re-checking an address book entry makes no difference.

I apologize for asking the question again but I thought perhaps the
additional information regarding the un-install and re-install of
Win98 might make a difference in the list's response. It should be
noted that the problems which caused me to un-install Win98 in the
first place have been eliminated by properly preparing the machine
prior to the re-installation.
