Define your template as a Quick Template then, in each folder or

JA Ok, let's go through this from the beginning.
JA 1. Create your main account, call it "Joe".

JA - Give this account the appropriate settings so that you check and

As it turns out, this was all I needed as in testing it, I found it
works perfectly. I have only two accounts anyway, only one of which
might be used for outgoing mail by clicking on a mailto. The other
account, if it was ever used for outgoing mail, would almost *never*
be from clicking on a mailto.

Thanks very much for your reply with it's detailed explanation.

ACM I've been interested in learning regular expressions myself for some
ACM time and have battled with some applications help files, including TB!.
ACM All of them have one thing on common in that they all give a cursory
ACM overview and a *very* basic introduction which isn't particularly
ACM meaningful. I have a great book in my possession at present. The
ACM challenge for me is to find the time to read and *assimilate* it. :-) I
ACM read a couple chapters a few months back and they were totally clear. I
ACM highly recommend the book. It's called 'Mastering Regular Expressions',
ACM published by O'Reilly. I got mine off Amazon. :-) Good luck in your
ACM pursuits.

ACM PS// Using regular expressions is like speaking a language. You won't
ACM get good at it unless you really use them. If you need to create only
ACM one then it may be better to ask one of our kind gurus on the list.
ACM OTOH, most RE experts claim that you'll find uses for RE's that you
ACM never imagined would be relevant to your situation and work, once you
ACM learn how to use them.

Filters and Adress Book.

2000-09-13 Thread Donatello

Hello,

I'd like to ask you one question. How can I automatically forward or
redirect a message (using filters) to a _group_ of people without

Try using the address book groups handle name. If you add an entry to
the group it will be reflected automatically in the filter since the
message is sent to each address in the group.

Saving old mail?

2000-09-13 Thread ztrader

I'd like to save old mail messages in TB format.

(1) If I do that, is it possible to save only the message file and not
the index file? If I then try to read the message file by itself, will
it work without the index?

(2) The files would be renamed (date, etc added to name). If I do
this, can this file be read back easily, or does one have to set up
another folder for it? (I DON'T want to mix old and new messages at a
later time - just look at old ones only).

(3) Is it easier to save as a Unix file instead? I'd prefer this as I
then could strip off extra headers and save a bit of space.

(4) In a Unix file format, what are the MINIMUM required headers so TB
can read it OK?

(5) If I strip out the base64 coded part of attachments in the Unix
file, but leave the 'boundary' lines to show that there was an
attachment, will TB get confused by the 'boundary' lines still being
in there, without the base64 part?

Last, but not least, is there a better way to manage old Bat mail :-)?

Thanks,

ztrader
