The Bat! is No.1 in my book.
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello TBUDL, The Bat! is No.1 as far as email clients go in my book. Yes, I am of course biased, but TB! really is the best email client available in my ever so partial opinion. I especially like the way the seemingly quirky editor wraps text where you want it to. And I like the way that anywhere... ...along the line or paragraph I can simply hit CTRL + J or CTRL + L and neatly and quickly reformat the message text as I go. And the ability to place the caret anywhere in the editor window and just type is real freedom and makes for extremely easy composition of messages as well. In truth, it's absolutely brilliant stuff from RITLabs. And the editor is simplicity itself as well, so anyone, no matter what level, can pick up the necessary skills almost instantly and quickly compose readable email without any fuss or bother, which is what it's all about really. The rest of TB!'s features are just very welcome extras that make TB! even more useful IMHO. And a note to new users: even though TB! _is_ a doddle to use, remember that there's a lot under the hood for when you need it. - -- Slán, Simon @ i~n+f~o+w~i+z~a+r~d+.~c+o~.+u~k * PGP Key via Web: http://pgp.infowizard.co.uk/ PGP Key via Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Faffing about with TB! v1.62r on W2K SP4 #459. Using the Scheduler to send a message
Hello papadc, Has anyone got the Scheduler to send messages at a predetermined time? If so, is there anything special that I should take care and do? I tried to test the feature by sending a message to myself, but I couldn't get it to work. For one thing, I set a time, but the time that appears after I press the Apply button is two hours *earlier* than my input. Also, no message pops up before the message is sent - although it was supposed to popup according to the settings that I put in. -- Best regards, Costas mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 2.01.3 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I totally agree with you on this subject, but there's another way to execute macros from a distance. As I suggested in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] it's possible to create a filter that writes the receiving message to file and uses that same file as a template for a reply. I suggested that as a way to remote control TB to collect files from your own pc to your current location. Likewise it would be rather easy to have a filter save the message as a batch file that's executed by the same filter. The only next thing you need is to be careless about the password you're using with that feature (the filter conditions) and you could be way over your head in trouble. That's more likely than your scenario. Especially since it's already in the list archive. Of course complaining about abuse by someone else would be like complaining about a burglar after you've left your front door open with a note on your window that you're gone. -- Groetjes, Roelof Current version is 2.01.3 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

auto html new and reply messages
Howdy tbudl, Normally i use just good old plain text for my mailing. However someone who i mail regularly cant look at a white screen (makes them feel very ill no need for further details i guess). So what i normally do when sending mail is manually reply then select the option of using html so i can get a non white background. bayes & spamcop
well, just an observation, but I kinda like the way these 2 work together. With Bayes filter plugin 0.1.2 putting all the SPAM in the JUNK folder, it is so easy to just open that folder and CTRL-ALT-S the messages to spamcop all at once. in OLDER versions of TB, when TB got back the email from Spamcop to complete the action, the DOS window would open, you had to finish that web page, close it, and the next spamcop dosbox would open well, I just sent 19 emails to spamcop, and 2 minutes later I had 19 web pages open up, all at once. click, send..click, send.. nice! so now I can train my bayes filter and still use spamcop! -- -- Paul Using The Bat! v2.01.26 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 see Kludges for PGP key pgp key: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]&Body=Please%20send%20keys Current version is 2.01.3 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Yeah, it's good to be cautious and explore the possibilities and baton down the hatches, but it is really fruitless to concern yourself unnecessarily with billion to one possibilities.
