T I've already accomplished that with Thunderbird. But
T Thunderbird isn't TB!

A so where did you put the mail directory...?

All of my data is on a FAT32 partition so that I can access it no
matter what OS I've booted into.

-snipped-

T It's a shame that it doesn't seem like there's any interest at Ritlabs
T to develop a Linux version. I've used all the MUAs I could find on
T Linux and none comes close to TB!.

Hear! Hear! Although Sylpheed Claws would be my choice if I had
to use a mailer other than TB! under Linux.

Mine, too. I've not tested the Windows version as it looks like it is
still heavily under development. What I need is a client that will
work under both Windows and Linux. Too many clients still use Windows
products, so I am often working under Windows and then switching to
Linux. Rebooting every time I want to send/read mail is an
option, but not a very attractive one. :)

I suspect if further discussion is wanted on this it'd better go
to TBOT - where there's been some interesting discussions about
running TB! under Linux of late.

Sorry, but I'm not on TBOT :( - too many lists already.

Yes it does. The Bat! supports both SMTP and POP3 over SSL and does so
both to specific ports as well as by using the so called 'STARTTLS'
methods available for both protocols.

I'm using these myself to my own server to make sure no-one can
eavesdrop on my POP3 and SMTP traffic from my laptop to my server and
it works very well.

Mind you that if the server uses a self-signed certificate you'll need
to add the CA to the 'trusted root ca' address book in order for this
to work.

Hi Bill,

X-MailScanner: Found to be clean
X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse,

That is a lot of junk to have in your headers.

What you did was to click on the far left of the toolbar and then
drag it out of the window. To re-dock it, when the toolbar is
floating, click and hold on the title bar. The border will become

border will become thin. Release your mouse button. Tada! The
 toolbar is back.

Thanks Chris. I needed that too.

BD I inadvertently set some settings which removed the toolbar from
BD within each message when the message is displayed/
MDP This happens if you drag the toolbar to a 'floating' position.
BD ... nothing that jumped out and grabbed me with the solution. So
BD ... if someone would be kind enough to give me a hint, I'd
BD appreciate it.
MDP Not exactly an FAQ. I just did the same as you and got it back by
MDP closing TB then using regedit to go to HKCU/Software/RIT/The
MDP Bat!/Viewer Toolbars and I deleted the tbTools sub-key in that
MDP branch. Reloaded TB and the toolbar was back.

Re: editing the registry for this sort of thing... What are the
chances that TB! might ever store it's config settings in an .INI file
so that EACH EVERY setting can be edited in a plain text editor?

This response probably has both In-reply-to: and References: headers
set the same. However, if you export, either change the References:
header or delete the In-reply-to: and then re-import you should see if
your system behaviour duplicates mine.

In this dialog, both 'Send' and 'Receive' have an option 'Connection'
which has a selection list after it. By default it says 'Regular'
there, but they can also be set to 'Secure to regular port (STARTTLS)'
or 'Secure to specific port (TLS)'.
