Can I send messages in Unicode?

2005-04-14 Thread Anthony G. Atkielski
Is there a way for me to send messages in Unicode with TB? I need to
send stuff containing characters from the International Phonetic
Alphabet, and while I have the necessary Unicode fonts installed, I'm
not sure if there's a way to send Unicode in TB. I send only plain-text

Backup problems

2005-04-14 Thread z5worg

I did a backup; and I got 2 messages:

1. TheBat.exe - No disk -- There is no disk in the drive. Please
insert a disk into drive A:

2. An error occured while storing data of the folder X. It is
possible that the message index is damaged - try to delete the index
file and re-read the folder, then try to backup again.

Re: message #1. in the first backup, I click "Cancel" and it continues.
I did a backup again. This time, I put in a diskette and click "Try
again"; and it continued. But when I look at that diskette after the
backup, it has no contents. What is that message?

Re: message #2. After the first backup, I deleted the tbi file for
that folder. Re-click on that folder and it rebuilds the tbi. Then I
ran the backup again. The same message pops up again. There is no
apparent problem with that folder. What could be causing this error
message?

Thanks in advance

However, when doing this, be sure not to overwrite anything as you may
lose data. You could rename to folders and add "OLD" to prevent any
overwritting and help you separate the folders from one another.

SpamCop Forward Template

2005-04-14 Thread Chris

I have an account at SpamCop.net to which I can forward spam. My
current forward template looks like this:

%SUBJECT=%OSUBJECT%-
%HEADERS%-

%TEXT

However, when I get HTML spam messages, the HTML part is not included.

Is there a macro to include the full message source, headers and all?
If not, how can I include the HTML part of a message when forwarding
it to SpamCop. I currently hit F9 and then copy & paste.

Copy your old folders (with the explorer) to your new account (or to a
subdirectory in said account) and press Ctrl-Shift-Alt-L (in TB) while
you've got focus on the account tree, this will integrate all folders
into your account.
For additional merging you just move messages from one folder to

Try something like this to match an e-mail address:

%TO=""%-
%TO="%REGEXPTEXT='^(([A-Za-z0-9]+_+)|([A-Za-z0-9]+\-+)|([A-Za-z0-9]+\.+)|([A-Z

Note: %TO="%REGEXPTEXT='regex'"

I was sure she downloaded it, but maybe her son just paid for the
upgrade expecting her to do all of the downloading... Whoops! There go

If she is running version three, there is only one text edit, which
is for the "Key Block." If she has two text edits, she has version 1
or 2 still. She will need to download version three. However, she
should make a backup before hand.

The easiest way to register (and get all the information in the
correct place) is to select the message with the registration
information and the select Help/Enter Registration Code.

Upgrading from 1.62r to v3

Hi Bats,

My friend's son tried to upgrade her v1.62 to v3.

The instructions: "To finish the registration, click on "Help|Enter
Registration Code" and use the following information:" (numbers). Use
how? The Bat! (Cifnet) sends by email a v3 S/N xx / Home Edition
and a Key Block: consisting of 151 characters. There are two areas
where a number is required: The Bat Key, and Key Checksum. There
doesn't seem to be a place for something called a Key Block. She has
tried pasting it in both places, resulting in an error message.

Her trial period is about to expire, and panic is about to set in,
