It's a Post Release Beta.

Rule of thumb: all versions with two or more dots are Beta
versions.

Folder paths not updated in filters when folders are moved

2005-05-27 Thread MFPA

Hi

I just tidied up my folder list, grouping folders neatly under
related "umbrella" folders.

As soon I fetched new mail half the folders were duplicated in
their original places because the "move to folder" action in the
incoming mail filters did not update itself when I moved the
folders around.

Before I file a report on RitLabs Issue Tracker, does this still
happen in v3.5?

It likely has more to do with using a server side Outbox.

Switching to a local outbox will likely cure the problem.

The filter system includes actions of adding sender and recipient
addresses to address books and even to specific groups in address
books. A very simple process. Filters can also be constructed to
continue processing, so such a filter need not usurp the authority of
other, more appropriate filters later in the list of active filters.

I have no experience of IMAP or of LDAP but one of my email
providers uses STARTLS (secure to regular port) for SMTP access
and TLS (secure to dedicated port) for POP access, with SMTP
authentication in both cases. TLS and STARTLS are both also called
SSL by some mail clients and service providers.
