Duplicate Filters?
Hi, is there an easy way to copy all the filters from one account to another in TB version 3.96.6? I can copy them one by one, but was hoping for a more efficient way. ;) -- Best regards, Susanne Current version is 3.95.08 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
signing and encrypting e-mail
Hi All I am currently using pgp 6.5.8 with TB!. I have been experiencing problems verifying signatures and was wondering if I should start using a newer version or even something besides pgp. So I am now soliciting your opinions on what I should use, with TB! -- Thanks, Terry Using the Bat! 3.85.03 under Windows XP Service Pack 2 2600 pgp3rwVl3f3YY.pgp Description: PGP signature Current version is 3.95.08 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I also use Kmail on a Linux system connected to the same ISP, same internet connection and through the same router. I've only seen this delay on the Windows/TB! system; never on the Linux/Kmail system. -- Dave Goodman The Bat! 3.95.6 AntispamSniper 1.8.0.7 Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Current version is 3.95.08 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Let me assume that the business server checks for each outgoing mail with a myriad of external spam blacklists whether the sending is legit. Check with your sysad whether he has installed such anti-spam policy. I'm saying this because that's the symptom and explanation at our company. -- Cheers, Thomas. Outgoing Mail Delays
How weird that this topic should come up. I'm using version 3.95.6, and about two weeks ago I began getting a 40 second delay (I can see the seconds count up in the control center) when I send mail. The mail goes out, but there's always a 40-second delay. The status tells me that it connected and that it got through my ISP's authentication process, but the delay occurs at about 6-7 seconds when the center shows "sending message header." The second weird thing is that I use both a a business and a personal server from my ISP. I get no outgoing delay if I use the personal server, but I do get the delay if I use the business server. The third weird thing is that my partner, who sits 15 feet away from me and uses Outlook for email but uses the same ISP, has exactly the same problem: a 40-second delay on outgoing mail from the business server but not from the personal one. Two different computers, two different mail programs, but the same problem. Our ISP has been helpful but can come up with no answer. They try the same things from outside computers (using our account settings and passwords) but do not get the same delay. We've tried telnetting to the mail servers (both business and personal) and get no delay at all with the personal server but a 3-5 second delay (insignificant, they say) with the business server. It's probably not a Bat problem, so I apologize for bringing it up, but my ISP claims it's not an ISP problem either. Just fishing for answers anywhere I can. Thanks for listening. -- Mike Current version is 3.95.08 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re[2]: Help
Hi Dave Thank for answering. That is EXACTLY the same problem, some times it does and sometimes doesn't. It just started doing it, it's weird, never had the problem before. Sorry, I don't have the answer, but after years of using TB! a few months ago I also started having delays in sending. In my case, on pressing the send button the connection centre opens, but no connection is made for 30-60 seconds. Finally a connection is completed, and the message is sent. I'm always connecting to the same SMTP server, but the delay I mentioned happens intermittently. But it does occur about on about 70% of messages sent. -- Dave Goodman The Bat! 3.95.6 AntispamSniper 1.8.0.7 Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Current version is 3.95.08 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Help
I have used The Bat since early 2001 and never have had any problems, until now. I'm using the latest professional version and it was working fine, all of a sudden, when I send an email it takes forever and then puts it in the outbox, telling me the server aborted the connection. Then I highlight it in the outbox and press "send queued mail" and it goes immediately. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced. -- Regards, mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Carlos Roman Writer/Director/Actor My Space http://www.myspace.com/raycobalto Roman Pictures, Inc.
