Add address to filter
Is there some shortcut way to add the email address of a message you're reading to the condition section of an existing folder? TIA -- ò.ó Nick Danger [MUA: TB! Hello Nick, Is there some shortcut way to add the email address of a message you're reading to the condition section of an existing folder? Not exactly. But you can change the condition section of your filter to see if the address is in an specific AB/Group and add addresses to that AB/Group. -- Best regards, Miguel A. I don't see anyway to use that interface to add the address to the condition section of an existing filter. -- ò.ó Nick Danger [MUA: TB! Yeah, I am using that for some filters already. It is a decent work around if a bit more clunky to setup. I was just wondering if perhaps there was a more elegant solution that I just wasn't aware of as there's lots of little gems hidden in this program that I'm always amazed to find out. Thanks for the response though! -- ò.ó Nick Danger [MUA: TB! It means that you have to restructure your filters so that they check address book groups instead of series of addresses, but it makes adding addresses to filter conditions a lot simpler. It also means that you've got to change the address of contacts (when that cahanges) only in the address book and not in a number of filters too. -- Groetjes, Roelof Veni, Vidi, Vacancy. A valid point, but personally I can't think of one address that I have in more than one filter. Maybe I need to get more creative with my filters! -- ò.ó Nick Danger [MUA: TB! Inbox damaged after folder maintenance (3.99.3 OTFE )
Good evening list members, a dear friend of mine has encountered a strange problem and she can't get rid of it: Performing a folder check in folder maintenance center will repeatedly cause a damaged inbox folder with a loss of all emails in it, including all subfolders of Inbox. Strange that no other folder is affected. She runs 3.99.3 on OTFE under Win MCE -as I do, too. She can't get back her emails and is rather disappointed about The Bat due to the circumstance of being forced to do a folder maintenance from time to time and the lack of reliance in the MUA itself. Losing mails is really a severe issue and I would want to help her if only I could. Can anybody be helpful in that concern please? -- kind regards Charlene Ferrara mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.99 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Strange that no other folder is affected. It's most likely that the Inbox has been corrupted somehow. Copy all messages from the Inbox to another folder, do the same for the subfolders of the Inbox. Open the folder view for the Inbox and its subfolders, TB will give you the real name of the directory in the title of the window, remember those names (or write them down), close TB, delete the directory matching the inbox (check whether there's something else in it apart from the messages.ebb and .ebi files, copy everything else to a safe location.) Start TB go to the Inbox and perform folder maintenance, if this doesn't cure the problem, close TB again and delete the subfolders of the Inbox too.
