Hi Thomas, The reason is that some powerfull influences here and on the Beta list want to nanny you and protect you from making a mistake. I feel ashamed for that. Well, the latest SSL desaster maybe set that into a different light. The planned mitigations for the scenario simply didn't work as all browser developers decided to allow the user to decide which option is best and then go with the weakest one as a default. Hi y'all, a friend from Brazil downloaded and installed The Bat for the first time. He is using a secure connection (TLS) to the mailserver of his provider using ports in the 900 region. The provider is one of Brazils biggest provider, with several millions of customers. With every connection to that server TB shows a window, telling him, the security certificate of that server is invalid and he is asked if he wants to go on. After a Yes, that happens, but it makes automatic maildownloading (pop3) impossible.
