Sorry about several Duplicate postings: settings problem in TB

2012-09-27 Thread Robert D.

Hello TBUDL,

I believe it has to do something with how I re-map the imap folders to
TB.

Account Properties/ Mail Management/
then Outbox and a pulldown, or write-in, on the right of that.

'For pre-defined mailboxes use these ...
Outbox ... ???

So, on the iMap server, I have 'Sent objects' ; Drafts; Trash; Spam

Inside TB I see 'Outbox'; Sent Mail; Trash

what is the relationship?

As an aside, when I look at the Account Listing of some email accounts I
have, I see a large list of folders both in TB and up on the iMap
server(s).

I just unchecked any settings in the aforementioned Account preferences.
Hopefully this has fixed the problem for the time being.

Yes. And _that_ is/was my next seemingly unsolvable problem with how I
set up TB this time.

Dare I ask it in this thread or start another?

I'll start another

and I did purge/compact

I have had times when they stay large even after purge and compact. If
that is the case, I copy all the messages to a new folder, go into the
original folder and manually delete the Files then move the messages
back which has the effect of creating a new TBB folder.

That is the long way around for sure and I have only done that when
the TBB file is still too big

Well, it might help if you would send every message only once! :-)

Large Sizes of *.TBB files

2012-09-27 Thread Robert D.

Hello TBUDL,

I was wondering if I am able to "Trim" the sizes of the various *.TBB
files I have?

My puny hard-drive has one TBB which is a few hundred gigabytes.\\
