There are two options for address list headers for exactly these two scenarios 
:-)  I would agree that the "autocomplete" option works too aggressive and we 
should consider to remove it, at least as the default behaviour.

My goal is not to disable autocomplete, but to avoid user input being 
automatically over-written by the ill-mannered software. Picture this:

Scenario #1:
User inputs a text and offered some suggestions from the drop-down menu.

Scenario #2:
User inputs a text that is being automatically replaced by the naive 
matching algorithm.

1st one is the helpful feature while the 2nd one is the hostile behaviour.
