Checking only every 30 minutes would cause problems in business. Apart from the 
fact that it means I receive tens of emails each time and suddenly have to get 
very busy, this new bunch of emails will also include a few reminders for 
non-replies: I receive an urgent enquiry now, it may already be 29 minutes old. 
I write my reply but the next mail check&send is in another, say, 28 minutes. 
They will received my reply almost an hour after their urgent email - in my 
business, that was OK 10 years ago but not today any more.

Why would you think that it is not a good idea to check more often than every 
30 minutes? Is there a technical reason? Kindly advise, thanks.

Please pardon me for butting in but may I ask why you shouldn't do a fetch more
frequently than every 30 minutes? I had to set my TB to do a fetch every 5
minutes because at the time, I needed to know as soon as a particular email came
in. That was over a year ago and I never changed it back to manual fetch. So far
no problems.
