Hi Stefan,

a long time ago somebody asked if The Bat! is going to be developed not
only for Linux then for PDAs like 3Com's Palm. I don't remember the answer.

Will there be a The Bat! for Palm?

Best regards,

Hello Andreas,

AR Right, good to know.

AR But I don't want to synchronize, I want to *send and receive* emails via
AR Palm, and that preferably with The Bat! :-)

AR So my question is still: will there be a The Bat! for Palm?

Well, I do not know. Probably, but not too soon... :-)

Sincerely,

Bug report, was: avoid automatic bcc if 2 addresses are in addressbook

2000-03-11 Thread Andreas Rumpenhorst

Hello Peter, Hamburg/GER, Saturday, March 11, 2000

in your mail dated Saturday, March 11, 2000, 11:17,
you whispered something about "avoid automatic bcc if 2 addresses are in addressbook":

PA I just noticed some TB behaviour that I'd rather turn off:

PA In TB's addressbook you can enter more than one email address for one
PA person. TB did not (as I hoped and assumed it would do)
PA just send the email to the first address listed *only*, but it also sent the
PA email bcc to all other email addresses I had entered for this person.

I didn't notice that behaviour until yesterday as we are discussing this in
the german TB-group.

I think, this is a definite bug.

Hello Jason, Hamburg/GER, Saturday, January 08, 2000

in your mail dated Saturday, January 08, 2000, 19:40,
you whispered something about "All About TheBat":

JT Well, that is a very nice forum indeed. Very well made.

Besides: it takes AGES for a page to load and makes it rather uncomfortable
to read the messages.

The other thing is: I can't access the pages with Netscapes Navigator, only
IE works... :-(

JT it would mean that we have to look in two places to
JT keep current with TB discussions: Our email and a web forum. And that
JT means we can't exclusively use our favorite email client. :)

Never ever! I'll stay here. :-)

FE as I wrote yesterday, we are setting up a German homepage for The Bat!
FE which can be reached unter http://www.thebat.de soon (just waiting for
FE the DNS of the providers :)

Congratulations! Sounds great, but...

FE For German-speaking users, we have set up a German mailing list.
FE a) How many users are interested in that? Would you like a German
FE list, too or is it okay for you to have an English-only list?

...there is already existing a german mailing list, which is called
thebat-dt on onelist.com. And even if it is well known (at least among us
Germans here) there is not much traffic. I don't know if it makes a lot of
sense to create another one (with even less traffic, I guess).

Moved The Bat!

1999-11-26 Thread Andreas Rumpenhorst

Hi The Bat! users,

I've moved The Bat! from one directory to another, i.e. it was in
D:\Dfue\The Bat! and now it's in C:\Programme\The Bat!

Problem is, that all the attachments I have ever received are related to the old
attachment path D:\Dfue\The Bat!\Attaches. This path information is stored
in the mails. How can I change them to the new directory??

DH As far I can tell, I would have to go into options and do the change
DH manually, each and every time. Is that correct? I would think each
DH folder would (or should) have a user selectable default for it's
DH active account, regardless of which account tree it's located in.

Rightclick in each folder, Properties, Show unread messages on mail ticker.

You have to repeat this for every folder you want or not want to be
displayed.

in your mail dated Sunday, November 14, 1999, 13:49,
you whispered something about "Moving from one PC to another":

PG I suppose everything will be ok then

To be SURE, everything will be okay you can create two batch files, to save
your TB-registry-settings and to restore them on the new computer. They
look as follows:

SAVESETTINGS.BAT:
@remThis batch file saves The Bat! settings from the registry
 @remto file TBSave.reg

 regedit /e TBSave.reg HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT

RESTORESETTINGS.BAT:
@remThis batch file restores The Bat! settings from previously saved
 @remfile TBSave.reg to the registry

 regedit TBSave.reg

Good luck!

The Bat! - suggestions

1999-11-11 Thread Andreas Rumpenhorst

Hello The Bat! developers,

There are some features I would like to see in your program:

Is there a possibility (maybe in the Sorting Office/Filters Action-Tab
or as a per folder setting) to override the accounts attachment
directory if the attachments are stored seperate from a message?

I have various folders in which I receive attaches and would like to
sort them into directories on the harddisk as well. As for now all the
attaches are going into one directory.

Regards,
  Andreas Rumpenhorst
