Like a revenant from a decade ago.... Quick Search in the middle of Message List
Hello all, Somehow a little "Quick Search" text box has shown up over the middle of the "Message List" pane. (Did I try to type while I had that pane in focus? Possibly.) The problem is that I can't get rid of it! The Quick Search window can't be dragged using the left or right mouse button. Workspace | Toolbars | uncheck "Quick Search" gets rid of the Quick Search toolbar above the message list pane, but not the text box over the Message List. Putting a cursor into the text box and hitting "Escape" closes The BAT! Googling for the problem, I found this thread on this list from 2006, seen at the link below. I see no sign that the OP's problem was solved. https://www.mail-archive.com/tbudl%40thebat.dutaint.com/msg89511.html Can anybody help me get rid of this? -- Jonathan Andrew Sheen http://www.leviathanstudios.com Leviathan of the GEI (Detached.) jsh...@leviathanstudios.com "What'dya expect? Reproducing directory structures between versions of TB
Hi, All, I'm using The Bat! 2.11.02, and I'm trying to make a _very_ complicated directory structure and filter set work identically on both my desktop and my laptop machine. It originated on my desktop. Now, the desktop has more than one hard drive, and for filespace reasons, the mail directories are on a different drive than the TB executable. The laptop has one hard drive, so the mail directories are in the default location. Nonetheless, the directory structures are identical within the mail directories. Yet, when I start TB on the laptop, it doesn't recognize that those directories that weren't created manually through the TB interface are there. Is there anything I can do to teach it? -- Jonathan Andrew Sheen http://www.leviathanstudios.com Leviathan of the GEI (Detached.) [EMAIL PROTECTED] What'dya expect? The Bat!'s lost its subfolders.
Hello, This morning, I had a problem, and my Windows 2000 system had to be hard-rebooted. The Bat! had been running previously, but was not running when this occurred. As the computer restarted, I saw it mentioning that one of the account.* files from The Bat!'s mail directory -- where it stores messages -- was corrupted and would be truncated. When I restarted The Bat! It no longer had the slightest notion that there were mailboxes or subfolders other than Inbox Outbox Sent Mail and Trash. The folders are all still there, but The Bat! can't see them. Suggestions? -- Jonathan Andrew Sheen http://www.leviathanstudios.com Leviathan of the GEI (Detached.) [EMAIL PROTECTED] What'dya expect?
