Text file instead of Address groups?
I currently use address groups like mailinglist1, mailinglist2, ... and filters use criteria if sender belongs to mailinglist1 and not mailinglist2, .. so on. Would it be possible to achieve this without using address groups?`I would like to have my own text file mailinglist1.txt, mailinglist2.txt ... and use filters to check if sender is found in file mailinglist1.txt ,, so on. -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
TLS-SMTP not working over WLAN.
I installed wirless router in my home, and now TB "Connection Center" window hangs while sending emails using TLS-SMTP. Everything else is working fine and so as other programs on my laptop that use internet. There should not be any relation but still wondering why its happening ... Any ideas? -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Pop delete: Bug or feature?
I copy an email to another folder & move it to trash & empty it. Now when I POP-check for new emails, the mentioned email gets deleted from server (since I have option "delete message from server when emptied from Trash") Sometimes this feature is useful, when I want keep local copy but not in server. On other hand is it correct? I am only deleting copy of email, so TB shouldn't delete from server. -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: Re[2]: HELP recovering deleted messages!!
Hi Marek and all, I could now recover my all messages easily. Thanks to everyone and of course TB :) Now I understand why TB designers not to really wipe out manually deleted messages. Re: HELP recovering deleted messages!!
Actually I can see all messages one by one I guess from Folder2,..("using browse deleted messages") but how can I make all of them "appear" in same folder. And I didn't do purge+compress on exit ( I checked from settings ) -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
HELP recovering deleted messages!!
I moved some messages from Folder1 to Folder2 (using search window) However Folder1 was still showing message count as before ( this is a BUG. you have to select that folder in order that it shows correct message count ) This made me think that I have emails still in Folder1, so I deleted all mails from Folder2, and then emptied the Trash. And now I have lost emails from Trash, Folder1, Folder2...! ( Essentially I could blame TB for that ) I tried to "Browse deleted mails" but it shows me only 1 email. Is there any way I can recover all emails that I emptied from Trash. I have not done "Purge+Compress" so I guess they are still out there. Somebody help :( Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: Can't delete mails: Error- Size of Trash about to reach 2GB
Hi Alexander Thanks, that helps! I never ran Maintenance in my 4 yrs of using TB, and it has saved me almost 8 GB!!! One thing I don't get is, why on earth TB is not really deleting messages manually deleted from Trash folder. Does this imply that there must way of way of recovering deleted messages? -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

TheBat rules. Python anyone?
It really seems that no other mail client can replace TheBat!. On one hand by giving powerful features, it also makes one handicapped by forcing to stick with Windows. Anyone wrote some filters using python and would like to share code from linux? Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

TB to Evolution transition
Is there any direct less-cumbersome way to transfer all mails from TB to Evolution (Linux)? I have too many subdirectories in TB and going to each of them & archiving as unix mailbox is too much work. I want maintain TB directory structure too, when I make transition to Evolution. I just plan to test if I can do everything with Evolution, what I am now able to do with TB. -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
TB on Linux
Has anyone tried running TB on Linux using Wine? Does Ritlabs have any plans to release Linux version of TB. I really don't like windows, but TB is holding me up :) -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: Gmail POP settings
I still can't get TheBat! to work with G-Mail. The authentication suceeds, but after that connection hangs forever. With similar settings, POP works fine using other e-mail clients, like Thunderbird. Could there be some bug in TheBat! Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: Gmail POP settings
Hi Tony, Thanks for info. When I try I fetch mail from TheBat, it sleeps forever after doing certificate verification of Gmail. No mails are downloaded However, what exactly I was looking in particular is what options to select for following (if they could have any affect) Transport->Receive Mail->Authentication-> - Regular - MSN(NTLM) - Compuserve (RPA) - MD5 APOP... - MD-5 CRAM-HMAC Thanks. -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
