I am having what sounds like exactly the same problem; when I try to
print from TB, the printer (an HP DeskJet) uses the Wingdings font, no
matter what font I set as the printer fonts in Message|Print Setup.

Mine's an HP 612C, so it could be an HP driver problem. When I get
home, I'll try printing on the Canon printer I've got there.
