Mail Ticker

TF I have found the kill dupes function very reliable over the the years. Many a time I had to us th kill dupes for hundreds of messages ( not mailing list ones) and I noticed that at times, it did mess up. It deleted messages with differeeent From and Subject headers .I wondered how can those have the same ID. So I'm just paranoid using it again now wanting to lose some important message due to this and think I should do it manually but it takes too long, checking every message. The need for kill dupes arises because I use IMAP and there's nothing in TB that would sync all the messages back and forth. MAU No, TB is not the cause of dupes, at least of the ones I have verified. I just did a test. But when i used the kill dupes command on inbox, it deleted just 80 messages, leaving one dupe even having the same mssage ID. The size was a little bit different tho it was the exact same message. TB stopped downloading mails from IMAP folder
Hi, Of late, I have not been receiving mails from a mailing list and when I checked, they do get filtered in to the folder on the server (IMAP) but TB stopped downloading them a few days ago even tho if I see thru mail dispatcher, that folder is subscribed. I have unsubscribed and subscribed time and again but it doesn't help. In the logs, it says how many messages are on that folder but then says 'connection finished, 0 messages downloaded'. Hi Adam, c Thanks for an immediate reply! Sorry I missed asking this one before. c What to do if my mail server is filtering the messages in to some c folders and I get them sorted already when receiving in The Bat! How c to mark these automatically read as soon as they download? A You do this the same way everyone else does, as Scott suggested. The A only difference is the filter won't be sorting into a folder. If it was A this list, you'd just use the list address as the Filter String. Hmm, the filter won't sort in to a folder? But since the messages (yes, this and some other lists) are on a folder on the IMAP server, so when I download them in to TB, will I now need to change their destination to Inbox first, instead of this list folder before applying the filter rule? -- Best regards, chinchi Using The Bat! v1.62i on Windows 98 4.10 Build A Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

But setting up a filter, doesn't c let me modify the source folder. How would I do that? A Ignore the source folder. I don't know why they even have that there. A It always says Inbox, and the drop-down is always greyed out. A Put your filter at the top of the filter list. I don't think I understand your last sentence. I'll explain again. And since you are also using FastMail, it's great and you'll understand my setup. (Nice to see a fellow FastMailer here *S*). I'm subscribed to a few lists on mail-archive and some others. All of these I get in to folders on my fastmail account as you can guess from my email address. And in TB, I've subscribed to these IMAP folders. Now, when I get mail, the ones from this list comes to a specific folder that I had specified the first time, locally. I want all mail coming to this folder to be marked read as soon as it comes. If I set up the filter to mark all messages as read, all of the messages route in to my local Inbox (the ones that were meant to be in the local TB list folder) and the normal Inbox messages also get marked as read. That's why I was asking about the source folder. If it at all was configurable, I wouldn't had to ask here.
