154459 * how to create messages using the email account you so desire by having multiple accounts
Hi Luc, In your templates, you include the following: %ACCOUNT=A for the account A %ACCOUNT=B for the account B %ACCOUNT=C for the account C %ACCOUNT=D for the account D Don't put all 4 together of course: just one for the corresponding account... many thanks but clueless. the Filters are in a Common Folder. understand once a msg is filtered and rest in a common folder the account roots are disabled. how do i set the QT to work when i hit reply for a msg sitting in a common folder and the same account that the msg originally was received to be used? -- regards vernon Current version is 4.0.24.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Monsell, many thanks but clueless. the Filters are in a Common Folder. understand once a msg is filtered and rest in a common folder the account roots are disabled. how do i set the QT to work when i hit reply for a msg sitting in a common folder and the same account that the msg originally was received to be used? The best way I've found to solve similar issues is to use 'Virtual Common Folders' instead of normal Common folders. For example, allow messages to come into each account's Inbox and then create a Virtual Common Folder looking into your 4 accounts Inboxes. This way, when you are on your VCF, you will see all messages from your 4 accounts and if you reply to any of them the proper account (and its Reply template) will be used. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Good afternoon monsell, It was foretold that on 02/10/2008 @ 19:51:46 GMT+0530 (which was 11:21:46 where I live) monsell would write: snipped a bit many thanks but clueless. the Filters are in a Common Folder. understand once a msg is filtered and rest in a common folder the account roots are disabled. I see, i don't use CF... Maybe the solution MAU offered will help you. -- Best regards, Luc --- Using the best e-mail client: The Bat! version 4.0.18 with Windows XP (build 2600), version 5.1 Service Pack 2 and using the best browser: Opera. Re: 154459 * how to create messages using the email account you so desire by having multiple accounts
Hello Monsell, On Thu, 2 Oct 2008 19:51:46 +0530 GMT (02/10/2008, 21:21 +0700 GMT), [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: mmic many thanks but clueless. the Filters are in a Common Folder. mmic understand once a msg is filtered and rest in a common folder the mmic account roots are disabled. mmic how do i set the QT to work when i hit reply for a msg sitting in a mmic common folder and the same account that the msg originally was mmic received to be used? You need to check which account the mail came in on, when you reply. In your reply template you need something like this: %IF %OTO=[EMAIL PROTECTED]: %Account=monsell %IF %OTO=yourotheraddress: %Account=otheraddress The account name is the same as the account name in your account/folder tree. Not sure about the grammar in the template, this is just the idea. Otherwise, TB! cannot know which account to use. By the way, one of the things I like about TB! is that you can keep the accounts completely seperate. Therefore, I would never create a common Inbox, so this problem does not exist over here. Why do you want to have mails from different accounts in the same folder, if you then want to reply from the account they came in on? It kind of defeats the purpose of having seperate accounts, IMHO. -- Cheers, Thomas.
