Hi Alexander

Thanks, that helps! I never ran Maintenance in my 4 yrs of using TB,
and it has saved me almost 8 GB!!!

One thing I don't get is, why on earth TB is not really deleting
messages manually deleted from Trash folder.

Does this imply that there must way of way of recovering deleted messages?

Select the Trash folder in the account tree, then open menu "Folder" and
select "Purge+Compress", that should help.

Furthermore, you should regularly run the "Maintenance" (which is in the
"Folder" menu, too) and purge+compress all folders.

Background - message are not really deleted when you delete them, they are
just removed from view. When you empty the Trash folder, its the same.
Purge+Compress means that the messagebase file is re-organized, ie. deleted
messages are physically removed & the space is freed.

Can't delete mails: Error- Size of Trash about to reach 2GB

2004-12-19 Thread Nav
When I try to delete some mails from my "sent mail" folder, I get
following error

- "Can't delete mails, coz size of Trash about to reach 2 GB. Please
consider distributing message from trash to smaller folders"

Apparantely, my Trash is already empty and I have enough empty space
on my drive.

About 'To:'

2002-05-21 Thread Han's

Hello TBUDL,

My relative wants to send a kind of Newsletter for his customers in
txt format by e-mail. There is more than a hundred e-mail address
that have to sent. If the e-mail address put in the 'CC', it will
open those customer's e-mail address, if they put in 'BCC', I'm
worry the receivers will think it is the wrong address or 'SPAM'
e-mail. To make it confidence, is it possible if The BAT! sends a
lot of e-mail address in one way without through 'CC' or 'BCC' but
only use 'TO' path and only the aim customer's e-mail address will
show up in that 'TO' path ?

TIA

If it's an unsollicited newsletter it is spam.

You can always put something like 'All customers of blablabla' in the
To: header and BCC the whole lot, works with (almost?) every mua.

If you want more check the 'mass mailing option', it should be able to
do this, but that's something I never tried. (I'm using other software
to manage my lists.)
