Re: Can't delete mails: Error- Size of Trash about to reach 2GB
Hi Alexander Thanks, that helps! I never ran Maintenance in my 4 yrs of using TB, and it has saved me almost 8 GB!!! One thing I don't get is, why on earth TB is not really deleting messages manually deleted from Trash folder. Does this imply that there must way of way of recovering deleted messages? -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Nav & everyone else, on 19-Dez-2004 at 11:01 you (Nav) wrote: > Apparantely, my Trash is already empty and I have enough empty space > on my drive. Select the Trash folder in the account tree, then open menu "Folder" and select "Purge+Compress", that should help. Furthermore, you should regularly run the "Maintenance" (which is in the "Folder" menu, too) and purge+compress all folders. Background - message are not really deleted when you delete them, they are just removed from view. When you empty the Trash folder, its the same. Purge+Compress means that the messagebase file is re-organized, ie. deleted messages are physically removed & the space is freed. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) using TB! v3.0.2.10 Home on Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 Life is an endless struggle full of frustrations and challenges, but eventually you find a hair stylist you like. Can't delete mails: Error- Size of Trash about to reach 2GB
When I try to delete some mails from my "sent mail" folder, I get following error - "Can't delete mails, coz size of Trash about to reach 2 GB. Please consider distributing message from trash to smaller folders" Apparantely, my Trash is already empty and I have enough empty space on my drive. -- Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

About 'To:'
Hello TBUDL, My relative wants to send a kind of Newsletter for his customers in txt format by e-mail. There is more than a hundred e-mail address that have to sent. If the e-mail address put in the 'CC', it will open those customer's e-mail address, if they put in 'BCC', I'm worry the receivers will think it is the wrong address or 'SPAM' e-mail. To make it confidence, is it possible if The BAT! sends a lot of e-mail address in one way without through 'CC' or 'BCC' but only use 'TO' path and only the aim customer's e-mail address will show up in that 'TO' path ? You can always put something like 'All customers of blablabla' in the To: header and BCC the whole lot, works with (almost?) every mua. If you want more check the 'mass mailing option', it should be able to do this, but that's something I never tried.
