Yes I noticed the same thing... only @ signs... no little mailboxes
like there used to be.

I  can't remember /for certain/, but thinking back I'm pretty sure those
@'s happened in 2.01.3 . . . correct me if I'm wrong.

There  have  been  a  number  of  subtle and not so subtle (the splash!)
cosmetic fixes since 2.0 -- seems like one glyph or another changes with
each maintenance release. The find/replace in the compose message window
turned  orange  (which  I'm rather fond of, actually), the splash screen
changed, now the @'s . . .

Keeps us on our toes, or something like that.

But black '@' is associates for me like some mournful :(

Im glad the @'s are back. The few cosmetic changes are nice. I
disabled the high colour images before because I didnt like them.
Better now :)
