Bug? Failure of Macros to Expand

2004-10-21 Thread Bill McCarthy
Hello TB User Discussion List,

I've posted this to the beta list, but didn't get a
response. So I thought I'd try here :-)

Attempting to pass the folder name (or any other macro)
to a batch file, the macro is not expanding. For
example, a filter with the Execute action and command
line:

   c:\test_bat.cmd %FolderName

receives %FolderName - not expanded to the actual
folder name. Is there some trick to get the macro to
expand? Or is this a bug?

I assume that was meant to be 'Run external action'.
Comments in that pop-up clearly state its possible to use macros to
 pass message properties as parameters.

Yes. A work-a-round was posted in TBBETA.
