Ah well, I will just work with the American English dictionary for a while until an updated version is released. We are currently testing 4.0.14.3, the third 'post release' (or Beta if you wish) after 4.0.14 and there have been some tweaking and improvements in spell checking and I think this has been corrected. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Yes, it does. There are 4 dictionaries listed (accent.tlx, correct.tlx, Ssceam.tlx and UserDic.tlx). When I open a new message, it always defaults to accent.tlx, although setting it to UserDic seems to stick while a message is open. However, despite this, when I try to add a word to the dictionary, the word is still noted as misspelt, although now that I look at the dictionary, the word has been added. -- Robin Using The Bat! v4.0.14 Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Popfile v0.22.4 Current version is 4.0.14.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Can't add words to the spell check dictionary
Batfolk, I am having a problem adding words to the spell checker dictionary. It works fine as long as I have American English selected as the language, and it works if I have both American and British English selected, but not if I have only British English selected. I also note that the default dictionary to add word to is accent.tlx rather than userdic.tlx which is, I believe, the one that should be used. I am using the SSCE spell checker. I have no idea how to use either or the other options since I can't find any information about them, so I can't test to see whether the problem extends to these. Anyone else experience this problem? Or have any ideas how to resolve it?
