Can't stop looking for mail
Sometimes, when I do an alt-f2 to get all my mail, one of the accounts hangs and will refuse to stop. As I write this, I am looking at a "Receiving Mail" box that has been open for about 45 minutes. Clicking on cancel or close does not get it to stop. It does not time out. How can I get it to stop? I'll go along with the fact that you can kill the dialog box but after that I sometimes find that I cannot close The Bat! If, after another attempt, I successfully read the offending mail server then I can close The Bat! Otherwise it's Ctrl-Alt-Del and End-Task to exit. Howvere, it is *not* the same bug and is only related because it's in the same part of the software. What the courts would call "circumstantial evidence" g. I'm just trying to say to you that it warrants a thread of its' own to discuss it, rather than embedding it in a thread relating to an older bug in an older version that has only a passing, familial connection. Can anyone else corroborate Paul's bug report? Paul would you care to issue a formal bug report in a new thread so that those that aren't reading the original thread have an opportunity to corroborate it? I can't confirm it as a bug. ME Neither can I, though I have been bitten by the former bug. Might have to look for quite a while to be sure. Even in the old version with the bug, it only happened to me on a very intermittent basis.
